Is there anything such thing? I just went to the local Cellular One office to see about upgrading to GSM service and I was shocked to see them posted for no guns. I have never seen a business posted for no guns in my borough, which is larger than the state of West Virginia. Needless to say, I was shocked at first, which quickly turned to outrage. Obviously Cellular One will no longer be my provider after today, but I want the effect of their sign to be more than just one customer leaving them. If this is a national policy I would certainly encourage other Cellular One customers to stop doing business with these bigots. But if there is a national "Do not patronize" registry, I need to add my two cents worth.

The thing to remember is that these policys are often made as a result of a bliss ninny in corperate who hasn't taken clients interests into account because they think in numbers. Or it was made as a result of insurence thinking even more in numbers.

Before I refuse patronage to a buisness I make sure that I do everything in my power to find out why, if the policy is actually enforced or if it is wink wink nudge nudge, or if it is an actual enforced policy. If it is actually enforced and theres no hope of changing then and only then will I consider refusing patronage.

Concurred. I can tell you for a fact that the Cingular store I frequent here in Irving, Texas is not posted. It seems that may just be a local decision.

As to your original question, I have not seen a 'national' list, per se. While frequenting various state/local-oriented forums, I have come across threads that have served a similar purpose. You might try going that route to see if such a list can be found.

EDIT: Look at that, there is a national list...going to go take a look-see

Funny you should mention West Virginia; that's where I am, and I use Cellular One. Don't recall seeing the local stores posted, not that anyone would pay attention, except to take business elsewhere. Little conversation at work the other day, amazed at how many carry!

Stay safe.
Bob
