Here's an unfired Navy Arms Remington New Belt .36. It was made in 1973 and I was told it was a Pietta but I haven't found the marking.
Compared to the current Remington .44, it seems to have a noticiably smaller grip area. It's also the only Remington .36 model that I've seen that has an adjustable rear sight.
This New Belt's front sight is serrated all along the back side and it's more ramped than the Pietta .44's front sight. The rear sights are similar but are not the same design either.
There's not a real lot of difference in the size of the frame, it's just a little bit smaller from the hammer area straight down to the bottom edge of the frame, and also the area under the cylinder and the length of the trigger guard too. Not by a lot but by ~1/8" or so here and there.
There also seems to be slightly more chamfering around the mouth of each .36 chamber.
It does have a 6.5 inch barrel just like Pietta's current .36 Remington.
This revolver does seem to have a very good fit and finish and also an excellent action.

I read this other recent thread comparing older & smaller .36 frames and I'm still wondering which company made this revolver. This frame does resemble the .36 Uberti frame in post #14:

BTW, press the F11 button on your keyboard if you want to increase the size of your browser window. Click F11 again and it will shrink back to the normal size.

This is a Pietta gun I bought from DeerCreek about 3-4 years ago. Ewin said he had them make it with these sights. This is a .36
