Excerpt:
Thinking of bringing your gun out to dinner with the family? A man who did just that this evening ended up injuring four people, himself included, at a Smokey Bones restaurant on East Colonial Drive in Orlando.

The victims, including a 4-year-old boy, were slightly injured when the gun went off accidentally in the restaurant's foyer, Orlando police said.

I'm with bigfatdave. Not enough details are given to make a call, but we can all be a little more careful and double and triple check ourselves. I'm glad that there were no serious injuries.

.

Not as bad as I thought.

I thought it was going to say, "Gunmen kills 4 of his relatives in a fit of rage."

It was an accident, it happens. May not even make the national news.

The problem was likely that the guy was fiddling with his gun for whatever reason, probably because he was carrying without a holster or with a very poorly fitting or improperly secured one. I like to call this "Plaxico Syndrome."

I'm more wondering how one shot injures four people.

I mean ... there are people *trying* to kill each other and can't do it, even with several mags but somehow random people in a restaurant injure four ...with one bullet.

I'm not going to speculate on how this particular incident happened, but this should not happen with a well maintained, modern firearm.

Rank speculation is hardly a THR behavior. More pointedly, when most every post in a thread contains one or more instances of 'likely' or 'probably' or 'wondering' or 'guessing', it's a safe bet that we ought not be yakking about it just yet..
