My family's favorite camping spot is Ft. Robinson State Park, Nebraska. We've always observed 'lopes on the way down from western South Dakota. Seems like there are many pronghorns near Toadstools State Park.

Your buck is a dandy! I hope you can afford a shoulder mount to display this trophy for several decades.

.308 is a terrific cartridge. I've taken whitetails, mulies, elk, moose, and caribou with my .308 Remington carbine.

And at that rate, it'll probably take 40 before you get a 25-yard shot at one again!:D Don't quit the long-range practice (it's fun anyway, right?).

Good shooting. The surprise would make a 25 yard shot harder than a shot at 400 with time to get all set up nicely, I think.

yeah for all the time and trouble to take one at 25 yards almost a waste of money on the ammo for practice the scope the stock ect ect. first thing the wife said was i thought you spent all that time and money cause you have to shoot them far away, i said yes i need to assemble a CQB antelope rifle now.....as for the good hunter thing i think i will go with that one
