I'm about to get my CCW and need advice on a 9mm. I own a 40cal Glock.(Glock23) But never have shot it well. Glocks and 40cal in general.
There's a few 9mm's in my mind for accuracy; reliability; and affordability.
Taurus PT92 17+1 in stainless. One of my favorite guns, hands down. Literally know at least a half dozen people who own one, every one would trust there lives with it.
Ruger P89. I shot one at the range, hated the look and the spongy trigger(I have to add it had a after market trigger) but loved the spot on accuracy. Shot it better the first time I picked it up then any gun I've ever handled.
Stoeger Cougar. Not much is known about said gun but the price and the
Beretta pedigree are what attracts me. Availability is what turns me off. Been looking for months to no avail.
Any opinions or facts would be great. All guns mentioned can be had for $400 or less.
No poly guns or CZ's. The reason I mention CZ's (I'd love a SP-01 and have heard nothing but praise of the CZ-75) is locally, central florida, there not under $500 for any model. And poly guns S.A./Glock/Taurus/S&W/Walther good guns but I hate their triggers. And that contributes a lot to my accuracy I've noticed after shooting a plethora of guns. Would consider a Sig poly if it wasn't out of my price range. And to be honest for once I'm not fearing a used gun.
Thanks ahead of time
