Picked up a very large frame semi auto pistol (yes, that one), and my friend who was going to teach me how to master it died unexpectedly. Looking for someone in the Chicago-land area who can teach me to tame the beast. Anybody?

There is a lot of really good training available in Chicagoland.

STTG has very experienced instructors and has been providing LE and open enrollment training for longer than most in the area:

Frank at Fortress Defense has also been teaching for a long time. I've not trained with him under the 'Fortress Defense' banner, but he's been an AI at a number of classes I've taken over the last 12 or so years:

If you're willing to drive a bit, there several ranges nearby that host many of the 'name' travelling trainers, as well as an excellent fixed-facility school (The Site) about two and a half hours west of the Loop.
