I'm looking for contacts for a friend in Columbus, OH on new shooter training for CCW. I would prefer a woman friendly trainer and/or store or club. They will need guidance on all aspects of having a CCW and carrying a pistol including routine scheduled training. Recommendations for revolver or pistol type, model, make etc should be done in person.

    In Columbus....
1st - NE side: there's New Albany Shooting Range. New facility, great pro shop, classrooms, and full auto Fridays:) .

2nd - North central: there's The Powder Room. Older place, very cheap membership, decent collection of pistols, pistol range only, no classroom on site:( .

3rd - Very N (Delaware): there's Black Wing Shooting Center. Newest facility, big pro shop, classrooms, also big on skeet/trap, maybe nicer than NASR?:scrutiny:

+1 for NASR. i was a member there for a long time. it's as woman-friendly as you get in gun stores.

Ohioans for Concealed Carry (OFCC) has a link on their web site that will help your friend find someone for training. On this link - http://www.ohioccw.org/ - scroll down to the Training and Application section and click on the "Find Instructors in Your Area" link.
