    Can you put it in some context? What does the tag say? Did the owner/seller have any ideas? Any markings on it?

    Yeah, a little context would help a lot. Is it a gun part? A reloading related item? It could be a mechanical apple-corer for all we know.

    I first saw this on another forum.

    This is what the poster said:

    "Found at the gun show.

    I overheard the Lt. Col. WW2 veteran/military collector who was selling said he would pay someone if they could tell him what it was. It came from a military junk collectors gun vault when he passed away. I was curious so I snapped those pics."

    No telling what that is, but I bet it cost the taxpayers a pretty penny.
