I'm debating the best way to rig a vcas sling to this ar I'm finishing up. Here's the dilemma:
Upper is a noveske skinny moe (comes with midlength moe handguards). Only has a bottom sling swivel which I'll probably take off....I want a side attachment point. Stock is a CTR.
I don't know of anyone that makes a colt style side sling adapter that would fit on this barrel profile or else I'd just buy one and be done with it.
I kind of wanted a real basic sling setup....not all sorts of adapters, hooks, and all that hardware clanging around that I've had on slings in the past.
The only adapter I saw that would work is the GG&G sling thing but that looks like it will get directly in the way of the light I'm planning on mounting (thinking about maybe putting an inforce wml on it). The only other options all involve putting QDs or hooks on stuff and using adapters from IWC or Magpul to attach them to the moe handguard which was not what I originally intended to do.
Any ideas?
