what else do i need to build an uppper (complete)?i just ordered:

1- dpms ar-15 heavey barrel w/ front sights
2-ar-15 gas tube
3-gas tube roll pin
4-delta ring assembly set
5-peel washer
6-flasher hider
7-flat top upper w/ m4 feed ramps (complete)
8-charging handle (complete)
9-bolt and carrier assembly (complete)
10- f/f handgaurd

if you can help that would be cool!!!!!!!!!!! thanks

Is that barrel going to work with the M4 feed ramp upper? Doesn't the barrel extension need to have deeper feed ramp cuts to match the cuts in the upper?

Some ideas

Your ff handguard setup might include the appropriate delta ring setup for the rifle, technically not a delta ring setup but you get the picture. You might need a barrel nut, don't remember if you had that included in your post, if not provided and when you assemble make sure you torque it appropriately and I would recommend going to www.ar15.com to look at their Build It Yourself section for all the appropriate specs and procedures you should use in building the rifle, just too much to list in a regular post. Sounds like a good start, you might want to get a BUIS (back up iron sight) if you don't have optics for it. There are lots of good BUIS out there, if you don't know which one to buy, LaRue makes one of the best if you don't want a flip up style and the Troy Industries BUIS is the best out there and it's a flip up style so you can mount other optics on the rail without it getting in the way. I just noticed that you have a M4 upper on a AR15 barrel, check compatibility as that might be a problem for feeding.

thanks people ........well i guess ill send back the delta assembly .so the ff should have it????? the m4 feed ramp upper is dpms south paw.... is it gonna work???? im pretty sure the barrel has a nut on it.....where can i find out if the dpms m4 upper is compatible with the dpms barrel?? whats the dust cover and forward assist........... lol sorry im new .........

Colt reserves the rights to the M4 feed ramp upgrade.
No other manufacturer can use it or they violate patent rights.
Any DPMS barrel assembly will work with any DPMS upper receiver and about anybody elses for that matter.

Your going to need a fabric strap wrench to install the free float handguard it it a one piecer.
Most of the two or three piece free floaters can be installed with the standard barrel nut wrench and a torque wrench.
Some companies, DPMS included, offer a wrench that has pins that insert in the back of a free floater to screw it into place.
Avoid them and just buy a high quality strap wrench.
My favorite place, Brownells, offers several choices.

If you don't want a removable carry handle, DPMS offers a pretty decent rear sight assembly that can be installed or removed as needed, is fully adjustable, and it will cowitness with optic choices set up specifically for mounting on the AR15 flattop upper.HTH
