NEF is making a 12ga pump. Anyone seen one yet?

Pardner® Pump

Haven't tried one yet, seen 'em in shops. Looks kinda like a 870, for a lot less. The ones I've seen they've been asking less then $200 for. These days I pretty content with my collection of Mossbergs. However, I've always got an eye open for an old SxS, even if it is an old hardware store gun, or something for my kids.

even if it is an old hardware store gun, or something for my kids.

Been on a old gun kick lately myself. Keep looking for old Marlin/Glenfield 22s. Found a Marlin 99-M1 the other day. S/N shows it's from '71. I also have a Glenfield model 75. It's a short verison of the 60. Plan on using it to teach my first grandchild to shoot.

Rescued a Western Auto 20ga from a pawn shop last summer. Has a Poly-choke on it. Shoots just as good as a brand new one.

Chinese made Wal-Mart gun.
They got tired of Remington getting the better end of the deal and talked the suffering New England into putting their name on these commie clones.
DON'T BUY ONE.

Big 5 carries these now. At first I thought it WAS an 870. These copies are getting better by the year.

How can they just copy Remington's product and sell it here so easily? I take it that there are no patent issues?

Please don't buy one! To me it just seems un-American to buy a chinese copy of an American classic :cuss: Buy a real 870!!!!!!

Besides the implications of supporting the largest dictatorship left on Earth, why get a copy of unknown quality and metallurgy when the original is neither scarce nor expensive?

Real 870s last forever, per shot cost is picayune.

And, I do not shop at Walmart.

The local shop has a whole rack of em for $179 each----several have some decent wood on them.

There seems little interest though---and I don't recall seeing anyone actually buying one----I'm in there a lot.

For $179 they seem to be a good deal----I'd buy one but they are too big and heavy for my liking---LOP and fit is all wrong for me too.

Workmanship is quite good considering its a Chi-com gun----I'm not for supporting our future WWIII enemies----but the gun is a good deal if it fits you.

Given that you can get good used 870s for less than $200 and new ones for less than $250, it's a false economy to buy the NEF copy. If nothing else, you have the huge aftermarket for 870 parts and accessories to sweeten the deal. Oh, and a proven history of performance.
