If they ever offer it in a long slide, my wallet will get flattened. Don't reckon I'd have any interest in a Commander size though, especially a lightweight.

But I thought the 10mm - and every other semi-auto cartridge other than 9mm - was dead??? How can this be???

There's a very good reason you don't see any alloy framed 10mm 1911 pistols. I'd love to have a Commander sized LW in 10mm. Every builder I contacted told me NO. I do have a Dan Wesson CBOB. I'm half way there.

Steel or no Deal. That goes for a a lot of guns. Especially Pocket guns that are shot heavily.

That's why I have two commanders. The all steel Springer for high volume practice, and the lightweight alloy Colt for carry and occasional practice.

Well, that and I just really wanted both.

Damn, I wish I hadn't seen this thread, I just ordered one. I told myself I would buy if Ruger ever made a 10mm all the time thinking it would never happen.

I've got a NIB G3 Glock 20. I was going to sell/trade it for the new XD 10mm. I've got three 1911 pistols in 10mm now. Dan Wesson PM7-10, Dan Wesson CBOB, and a blued original Delta Elite.

The Ruger is tempting for sure.

Oh yeah, the XD is tempting for sure too. I'm not real big on striker fired pistols though.

wish it wasnt a 1911. too many 1911 style in 10mm. not enough double stack 10mm pistols.

I know what you mean, I'm looking forward to more platform options in the future. This cartridge is certainly well suited to more of them than just Glocks and 1911's.

But just recently we've gotten 10mm Sigs and XD's. I'm inclined to like the Sigs. I'd like to see a steel SAO 227 in 10mm. I think that'd be nice. I'd really like a CZ97 in 10mm, I may have a Tangfo in my future as well.

Wonder if it can take the full house 10mm or if it is loaded like the delta elites?
Ruger isn't really known to under-build their guns. I suspect it will handle any SAAMI spec cartridge you put through it.

However, Ruger has an excellent service record. If you managed to destroy one I suspect they would replace it, and if you didn't trust the design any longer, you could sell it off as a new gun.

Got an update on my gun, dealer said it should be here by Thursday. It looks like it'll be a 10mm day at the range this Saturday :)

I am happy to see Ruger Made in USA get so much, and appears to be repeat business ;) Now if Colt would just get their you know what in gear....

If only they offered it in high polish stainless, It would be exactly what I would want out of a personally ideal 10mm. I think I can deal with having to use a little elbow grease to fix that.

Dan Wesson's RZ10 MSRPs at about $500 more than the Ruger. Save ya loads of time & grease. ;)

I live in California so unlikely I shall ever see either. :(

Street price on the Ruger is ~$750. Street price on the DW is ~$1350. That's $600 difference.

Back in the day I paid $775 for my PM7-10.
