I like shiney old Smiths and I've been keeping an eye out for one of these for awhile. I didn't have a nickel 'K', saw this and bought it, including what may be the original box, tools, papers. It looked unfired by all the usual indicators although neither the seller nor I could be positive. The finish is not quite mint but very close. For sure it's been fired now 'cause I shot it. It did just fine.

We're all curious about prices, the gun w/box etc. was listed at $575 plus tax. We both knew perfectly well I was going to buy it, and after the usual haggling final was $500 OTD. SN 6K50xxx which should be '73 or thereabouts.

When I shoot much I still end up mostly shooting 1911s and BHPs, but my first CF handgun, and introduction to shooting, was a K-Frame Smith and they'll always remain favorites. But the old Js and Ns come very close, and actually my favorite revolver to shoot is a 60-4.

Sorry, not the best photos and the gun still has some oil on it.

That's a nice one! Congrats! I got a 19-3 last week only mine is blue with the 2.5 inch barrel. It also looks unfired but that will change this week.

Great guns ain't they? OBTW I paid 450 for mine.

I'll second the congratulations on the price. I picked one up for a bit less back in March but it did not have the original stocks, and probably had been shot a bit more.

I did not need another 19, have too many snubs to use, and almost enough k-frames to fill out my collection -- but this one just sang out to me and I could not resist. Up until then I was not even a Nickel fan. (I'm beginning to think your blood can be infected by Nickel too, not just bluing salts.)

Now it is one of my proudest pieces and it can even talk me in to open carry once in a while.

The biggest surprise to me was that at close range, with quick shots, I am more accurate with it than my 6" m19.

    enjoy

Sweet! I'd have bought that one, or a blued one like it, just as fast. Lovely little guns.
