Wow, thanks everyone, I never would have thought the results would be so overwhelming! I truly was torn between the two for their unique purposes, but this has confirmed that little push I was feeling toward the revolver. Thanks again!

From personal experience I'd say BOTH!

Honestly though, the Colt LW Commander is probably my favorite carry gun, and the Bisley is my favorite hunting gun. I'd honestly be hard pressed to pick a favorite between the two.

Your dilemma wasn’t too difficult, in fact I think the choice is as easy as a song:

    Happy Bisley to you...
    Happy Bisley to you...
You know that you’ll love it,
    Happy Bisley to you!

Now’s the hard part; finding one and the stuff to shoot from it :(.

Happy birthday and good luck on your quest. :)

    Stay safe.

Time to start thinking about the 50 caliber when you turn 50.

Forty-five Defenders are great to carry, not so much to shoot. If you can lay hands on a real, steel Officers, it's a much better thing. A 9mm Commander is great too, or 9mm Defender.
Yeah, a .45 ACP Mountain Gun would be the deal.

I don't really "get" SA revolvers, but I own several N-frame S&W .45LC revolvers and can recommend them whole-heartedly.

I think 1911s and S&W revolvers epitomize some of the best designs of the semi-auto and revolver genres, and my modest collection features several of each.

JMHO, YMMV, LOL, ROFLMAO, TANSTAAFL, AYSMFCBM, and so on...

Good luck with whatever you decide, and please let us know how it works out.
