First off, let me apologise for not having any pics. That said; my new conversion came in last night, and I just had to tinker with it. I was told by Cheryl ffrom eaa cust. Srevice that it would definitely require fitting. It did not. I was a little rough at first, but it smoothed out after about an hour of assembly/disassembly/hand cycling. The magazine is not drop free, & measures a little wider than the factoory .45 mag that came with the original pistol. Anywhere between .002 and .007 unloaded. The dimensionional differences in the slides' contact surfaces were negligible, so I went ahead and put it together, loaded some dummy rounds in the mag and proceeded to hand cycle them. Stuck cartridge!.............I chalked it up to my terrible dummy rnds being out of tolerance, as they're just used to set the depth on my loading dies. After a bit of that, the real stuff came out. Still a littlee sticky, but not terrible considering these are virgin parts, & there may be some burrs that'll hafta be knocked off. Ill keep working with it & postt the results when I think its ready to be fired.........with pics! Any tips, hints or derogatory remarks are much appreciated.
