Well, the 26th I walked into my Sportsmans Warehouse with the intention of walking out with another piece to the collection. I was first set on getting an AR15 - yeah, right  - and decided that if they were out, I would pick up a new handgun.

I had already picked which one I wanted around one week earlier. The Beretta Cheetah. I was a bit disappointed when I walked in (a week ago) and discovered it was an 85 model, which only holds 8 rounds as compared to the 84 which holds 13.

So, I wak in one week later, and to no surprise see there are no AR's in stock. Ok, lets just look around a little before biting the bullet. Well, nothing that catches my interest... except a Rem 700 VSF... well lets just save that for another day.

Alright lets go ahead and by the LAST Cheetah on the shelf. Great, clerk to get it and am now comes the fun part... background checks!

OK, swell. Well I finally notice after I ay for it, it's actually an 84fs model :D. Great surprise to me! And want to hear another plus? Not ten minutes after I had started filling out the paper work, a customer comes up to the counter and asks for a Beretta Cheetah. Well... it just seems like my lucky day.

So here it is, $600 later.

Only downside? My local range is closed until March :banghead::banghead:!!!

Well I guess maybe I'll be able to squeeze off a few rounds with out the neighbors freaking out... Let's only hope!

Thanks,

AU

Classy? - yes. Little? - no.

I like Berettas.

Congrats!
What about the hard plastic grips you don't like? I think they suit the style of the pistol, but there are factory wooden ones that are often on the nickeled versions but look good on blued ones too.

I like the grips - actually they feel outstanding - but was wondering if any replacement grips may be better than the factory ones.

I was looking at the Pachmayr Signature wrap around. They seem to be a decent choice.
