Latest acquisition, blank cylinder Uberti L&R made in 2007.



Now have a pair of them. The other one is from 1977. Both of them get shipped off to the gunsmith to get 6 more bolt cuts on the cylinder, defarbed, and remarked like this original Augusta revolver from 1864.

Why so many bolt notches on the cylinder?

The extra bolt notches were the safety notches on the Augusta models. They were patterned after the Manhattan revolvers.
