I got an email today that stated that the CZ-82 was now C&R eligable which is cool. I was wondering how often this list was updated and if there was a place to find those updates?

Cool! I did a quick google search, and pulled up this article:

    http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg26-e.htm

It looks like a neat gun. Now the important question is, does anyone know where to get one?

Can't find an official updated list on the ATF site, though - just the main list and the two addendums that have been posted for some time. Would be nice to know what else may have been added (other than just through the 50 year method).

    Here's the list:

But it's not all inclusive. The ATF doesn't update it very often. Apparently keeping the public informed is not high on their priority list.

I got it in today, looks like 90% condition. Just a few shiny spots on the high points of the slide from holster wear. Nicks on the grips, usually stuff.

But I didnt get a picture.....it was broken.

Magazine release wouldnt function. Took it apart (simple) and the ears were busted (or worn) off the magazine catch button.

Called AIM and they are sending me parts.....

I just got mine + 1k rounds of wolf FMJ ammo from AIM surplus. The pistol looks to be in 90% or so condition, much better than I expected, though I got the camo holster rather than the leather one typically seen. Shooting it tomorrow, range report to follow.

The BBT just delivered mine from AIM. I paid for the handpick...I really need to stop doing that. I'm always disappointed. Anyway, the pistol looks really nice. The slide and barrel are in great shape...95%+. The alloy frame has use wear and chips...90%. 2 mags, holster, lanyard.

Ergonomics are awesome...the 12 round mag creates a handfilling grip but not too big. It is a nice compact pistol in a round that is at the lower end of the acceptable SD range. This pistol has the safety, mag release and slide release in the right places. Also, safety and mag release are ambidextrous. Nice. Sights are big and highly visible. Really nice little pistol.

    Here are some pix.

Here it is with some Czech stable-mates

And here is it in size comparison to a Bulgy Mak.

    iamkris,

You didnt get taken on the handpick, your has quite a bit less wear then mine. Looks $10 better to me.....

Also to anyone ordering, these have polygonal rifling.....if you look down the muzzle it will look like a smooth bore......there are no lands or grooves....at all.

I definitely want to pick one of these up eventually. Theres just something about the way they look thats really appealing to me... and having a pricepoint of around 200 dollar? you can't beat that:)

Picked one of these up from AIM a number of months ago... looks just like the one iamkris has. It's a very sweet little pistol, fits the hand well and has a pretty decent double action trigger pull. Mine was as close to 100% as any factory new gun I've bought (I, too, paid for hand pick).

It's been said many times, but CZs are great guns and a real bargain. The 82 was my fourth :D

Got two of 'em on their way to me just as soon as the AIM elves can get 'em on the sleigh. Very excited!

Rumble -- I spoke to Eric at AIM on Tuesday. I had ordered the CZ, an M38 and a bunch of 7.62x54R, .308, 9x18, 7.62x25 ammo. I received everything but the pistol and thought that odd, since it was supposed to be shipped next day air.

He said they had a delay in release from customs...they will be filling orders throughout the rest of the week. I got mine Wednesday.

Iamkris, thanks for the update. When I ordered them, I asked when they'd ship, and the lady I spoke to said they were delayed, so it would be next week most likely. Not a big deal. It's my first C&R purchase, and the sheer novelty of it is sufficient.
