So I'm new to building ARs. My coworkers and boyfriend talked me into building one. I just bought the Juggernaut Tactical almost complete lower. Would a Aero Precision M4E1 complete upper work well with this lower? Also what would be a good lower kit to get?

The upper is not NFA due to the flash hider being pinned and welded. The description does not give much in the way of details. Maybe you could post a link?

The lower is billet not forged so no one knows how it will fit or look. I would personally just buy a stripped Aero lower to mate with the upper.

That was my initial plan but they're all out of stock and ridiculous to get right now. The Juggernaut was in stock and already had the CA compliant hellfighter pin kit.

I saw that it had a pinned muzzle device and figured it was likely long enough so I deleted my post .
I don't have any advice beyond buying what you like -

But how do I know if it'll fit that lower? Do uppers fit differently?

If properly made, they all fit.

Non mil spec receivers are a crap shoot as far as cosmetic fit and finish are concerned. It will function but it just depends on how picky or OCD you are.

    BTW,
Welcome to THR, sorry I missed that part!
building an AR should be simple , if I were you I would look at bear creek for an upper, they're cheap and good quality. Shoot the snot out of it and figure out what you like, then select a higher end upper or build/buy exactly what you like once you've got a good idea of what you're looking for. I'm not an AR guy, I only have one and only shoot it enough to stay proficient (it's a dd m4v5- I like it but quad rails have gone out of favor )

Other than minor cosmetic issues, and even those I'm not sure about, the upper and lower will fit and work just fine.

Reading the upper description it doesn't mention the bolt carrier group. If not included, that price is a little steep.

Is that in the lower or upper?

Also I work at the store I'm buying from so I get a discount. The prices are irrelevant. I had originally wanted to buy an Aero Precision lower but do to unavailability I went with the next best option for the lower.

We do have Juggernaut Tactical complete uppers but I've heard a lot about the Aero Precision M4E1 Atlas.

Brownells has the Aero M4E1 lowers in stock and on sale. Most gun stores can buy wholesale from Brownells.

If you don't get a good discount shop around, if that upper doesn't have a BCG your looking at another $70+ added to that price, PSA and other places have lowers complete for less money than the lower your looking at, BCA has complete uppers at good prices, my last 3 ARs have been around $300 before optics but prices have risen since then, if the shop will assist you in building a stripped lower I think building a lower helps you understand how everything works and what needs attention cleaning and lubrication.

Once again I work at the shop. They're the ones who are helping me and I also get discounts on the parts. I got the lower out the door plus DROS for the price listed it the link. Also money isn't the factor. I want a good reliable AR-15 and I want to learn about it in the process.

IMO, buying an assembled upper and lower and pushing two pins in place really isn't building.
Aero has nice stuff, Ive built 6-7 ARs using their parts, but I've come not to prefer their uppers. I'll go with BCM everyday and twice on Sunday over the Aero upper. My reason being is that the receiver ext on the BCM is undersized, to fit a barrel it is pretty much a press in fit. All the Aero uppers I have, one could throw the barrel at it from across the room and fall in place.
I took two rifles I built using Aero uppers, swapped them over to BCM uppers and both showed improved accuracy.

For a lower kit, I go with SOLGW. I want a kit without the trigger and other BS
The barrel and BCG is the heart of the rifle, I'll stick with know quality vendors.

    Welcome kellogg559
There a high chance they will fit, but good chance the lines won't match and not look as good as it should.
Does juggernaut tac sell a upper receiver, then you can get the other stuff you want on the upper.

Yes Juggernaut Tactical does have an upper. I was thinking about going with that as well just for the more likelihood of it definitely fitting.

The juggernaut upper is more expensive than the highest priced BCM upper, everyone has preferences but there is no way on earth I'd give more for a lesser known brand complete upper unless there was something really special about it. Or back to the bear creek uppers - buy 3 for the same money- short, long and maybe a 6.5 or 450 upper just for grins. Either way I doubt you're wearing any of them out, save your money for mags, ammo, optic, sling, case, muzzle device , ect. Just my .02

I’ve had good experiences with Aero uppers both complete and stripped. The M4E1 is forged, though with modified lines, and blends in with standard lowers as it is not overly stylized.

I would not lock myself into a pinned muzzle device as I prefer a linear compensator.

M4E1 with M4E1 forged lower (matched pair).

So if you were me would you go the Aero Precision M4E1 complete upper? Or get the Juggernaut complete upper to go with the Juggernaut lower
