New to me by way of Kansas. Two additions to the ever growing arsenal. The 51 is Gonnerrized. I now have four Goon (Uberti) Colts that are reliable tough as nails shooters. The Spiller and Burr will join its southern brother the Griswold in Florida and become a "Southern Gun" 20170514_124819.jpg 20170514_124837.jpg

Your Southern Arsenal is looking even better with those two additions. Have to get myself a Spiller and Burr and a Griswold and Gunnison some day to keep my two Yankee revolvers company.

Got 2 recently.

This Pietta 51/60/44 still needs some work. Hand needs some fitting and the back strap needs to be filed or sanded to line up with the frame.
Gonna try a few things next time I'm home to see if I can't get it running right. Tempted to send it off to Mike but want to play some more 1st.

Wife snapped a pic of this greasy one for me last week. Pietta 58 NMA Sheriff. Date stamp puts it as a 2017 manufacture.

I swear - next one will be long gun or 36 cal revolver. No more 44's for me.

What makes it a 51/60 ? The octagon barrel.

It's a parts gun. The cylinder, barrel, internals, and grip frame are off a "confederate" 1851 44. The receiver is from an 1860. Going to try another hand and a 1860 cylinder to see if I can get it running right.

Well it makes for a good looking piece. Beings to mind Johnny Cashes automobile.
