Probably in retrospect it was a mistake for them to make all of the pre-release announcements. A few rumors would have been better and the whole releasing the "declassified" prints is just plain childish. Introducing a new consumer product without really testing it is never a good idea and while I'm sure whatever bugs develop will in time be resolved. But very obviously there are some unexpected manufacturing hic-ups that need to be fixed.

I have to say that I'm looking forward to seeing bench pictures of this contraption with case and bullet feeders, powder measure and pez-dispenser. Should be quite a sight!

This is speculation at a pretty high level.

... and how would you know the extent of any testing ?
just askin'
:D

Oh you guys are right. there are 15 dozen beta testers happily making ammo and winning matches with all of that ammo!!! Just yanking your chain!!!

I just hope someone, anyone gets one of these real soon!

Then let the "bashing" start:):uhoh:

You're probably a Reds and Bengals fan too, right??? :p
Ex Bengals fan here. I got tired of seeing them lose for like 25 years straight ... it got so bad that if they scored a touchdown, it was a good game.:oops:

Now I just cheer for whoever is winning ... How are they doing in recent years? I don't care but I cheered for a lot of winning teams. :D:thumbup:

I think we should all wait to see how the new Pro 4000 performs before commenting on its virtues.

Soon enough, those of us that pre-ordered should receive them to put the new press through its paces.

I have good friend who is a. Bengals fan. I went to his house once to watch a Bengals game, and he has this crazy dog running around wearing a Bengals T-shirt. At one point, the Bengals kicked a field goal, and the darned dog started doing flips over and over. Crazy!!! I was of course impressed, and asked my friend what the heck the dog does when they score a touchdown.

He replied, "I have no idea, I have only had him for three years!!!"

Why?, it has never stopped Lee bashing before nor stopped any speculation here?

I think someone should start a new thread when they get one of theses presses, as this has so many off topic, speculative, replies.
384 posts and no one has seen the press.:scrutiny:

Looks like it saves a lot on powder and bullet expenses!!

Seriously though, I am looking forward to a hands-on comparison with the Dillon 550. MY LCT is fine for .223 and some handgun rounds, but a bit much for the volume of 9mm and .40 I load.

Looks like the sub plate is plastic/covered. I wonder how it will hold up with repeated compression.

If the brass feeder works, this will be a nice depriming press for those who wet tumble.

I pre-ordered one a few week after you. We'll see how much of a backorder there is. I'll be watching your new thread. :)

After viewing the video again, the shell-plate is also the sub-plate for the brass.

Looks like Lee wanted to use the same auto indexing mechanism as on the LCT but couldn't (on the LCT) because the weight of the add-ons (powder measure, bullet feeder/bullets and case feeder/cases) is too much long term for the rotating turret but will work with a rotating shell plate.

It's interesting that there hasn't been any pictures/vids of what the press will look like 5 minutes after bds gets his and installs all of his stuff.

My UPS tracking shows ETA to be around Tuesday.

I really think we should let users operate the Pro 4000 instead of speculating further about the press operation. ;):D

Peace.
