This just in from Accurate Shooter:
AccurateShooter.com will offer a new FREE service for Forum members and readers — Barrel Break-In.
. . .
Our barrel break-in procedure is done by some of the nation’s top shooters.

Good to see this sort of innovation in the shooting world.

This has to be an April's Fool Joke.

The link is certainly an April fools' day joke.

The same site has a serious post on break in. Shilen and Krieger say yes, Lothar Walther says maybe.
Of course Gale McMillan said they just wanted you to wear out your barrel sooner.

Well it's of no value to me as I've never owned any brand new match grade rifle barrels (or handgun barrels for that matter).

And I've never asked the seller of any pre-owned firearm I've purchased what barrel break-in procedure was used by the first owner, including my milsurps!

Same with the engine of any motor vehicle I've ever purchased WRT engine break-in procedure was used, regardless of how few miles / hours the engine was used.
