I read it, but I'm not seeing how this would help in any way. Can someone enlighten me?

Rather specific, to the point, and defangs the ATF ruling.

The intent would be to define stabilization braced pistols as pistols regardless of whether shoulderable or not as legislation to counter ATF's stabilization rule making. Passed legislation trumps agency rule making.

It just seems like this would sort of just half heartedly kick the can down the road a little. It doesn't remove SBR's from the NFA, does it? Seems like it just redefines a "pistol" to mean any gun that's "concealable" (without defining, "concealable").

That isn't the intent. It has nothing to do with removing SBRs from NFA.

It is only intended to legislativly negate the ATF stabilization rule. While inevitable court cases may reverse the rule it can take years of cases working up to SCOTUS. Passed legislation can be a quicker path.

I think Manchin and Sinema could support it.
Biden, would depend how much political capital he imagines it would gain or cost him.
