Hello there. I'm thankful to find a new home after TFL.

I'm a 1911 fan with numerous 1911 pistols. I just recently bought and will soon pick up a new Browning HP Practical Silver Chrome in .40cal. Can anyone advise on the best/most reliable defense ammo for this pistol/caliber? Thanks...

Hello. I found Winchester's 155 gr STHP to be both accurate and reliable in the HP .40S&W.

    Best.

IMO the best defense/carry ammo is the RBCD. Nice round nose profile for feed reliability as well.

I use the Star Fire 155gr. JHP. Nice bullet.

    I like

I prefer to use heavy for caliber bullets, and have settled on the 180gr Remington Golden Saber's. No failure to feed problems either.
