Just picked this up Thursday. Went to do a comparison on M&P, Glock 43, and SA XDS. Well, the store we were at had the M&P 2.0 and the Glock. Didn't matter, as I was mostly interested in the M&P anyway. My first and only S&W. I was greatly impressed with the trigger and the lack of recoil in such a light gun. Guess that porting works well. And I'm loving the thinness of it, and feel it's going to be a great carry addition to what I have, for certain applications. Ordered a Versacarry Commander with spare mag pouch. Below target is with American Eagle ball, 7 or 8 yards yesterday. Once I got used to it, it settled right in. Now to find ammo it really likes. There's a few .45 cal holes in it as well, as my buddy was shooting a .45ACP Blackhawk and I popped off a few rounds of that as well.

Great choice! I carried the original Shield almost exclusively off duty for six years. My only complaints were the slick grip and not great trigger. As both these issues were fixed with the 2.0, yours should be excellent!

By the way, mine will do a group like yours at 15y.

I have owned an original Shield for over five years and am very happy with it. I have heard the trigger on the 2.0 is much better than the original. I think you will be very happy with it. It also shoots great as you have already discovered.

I've been happy with my original Shield. Talon grips improved the grip and the trigger is, fine I guess. The trigger on my 2.0 Compact is much nicer but the trigger on the Shield is good enough that I'm not planning on swapping it out. It's a bit down on capacity compared to the latest and greatest but it's still a great little carry gun.
