I'm looking to pick up a pistol for concealed carry. Having a tough time deciding on which I should go with.

I have a Beretta 92fs but I think it's a little bigger and heavier than I'd like to carry. I am thinking of picking up either a Sig P250 or maybe P229, or I'm also interested in the CZ line of compacts.

Can anyone who's shot these firearms give me your thoughts on them? I've read some good reviews about the p250 but I'm not sure that I would be using it's perks at all such as switching caliber modules. Is the p229 comfortable to carry? Also I was wondering if the CZ .40 cals shoot as well as the 9mm's. Thanks for any suggestions and thoughts!

inho sigs are good to go and great choices, i have experince with the 229, and 226 and they have been great, reliable, accurate guns. the only time i have seen a p250 was at a training course at tactical response as far as i know it went through 2 days of training without any issues.

    btw welcome to thr.

Thanks for the welcome Possum! I've started looking at some .45's for carry. Anybody carry the p220? Is it on the larger/heavier side?

I will limit my steering in one direction. Thinner is better. There are lots of fine wide guns, but none of them are easy to carry. 1911 and thinner would be my reccomendation.

I carry a variety of guns. Some are big and some small, but the only one that is with me 100% of the time is my LCP.

Just like Jello... There is always room for a LCP.

    Sig P229

I have a Sig P229 and have carried it sometimes. It is one of my favorite pistols for shooting at the range, and I feel confident in its accuracy and reliability. I will say that it is somewhat heavier and thicker than I prefer for carry, and most of the time I use a smaller gun like a Sig P239, Colt Defender or snubby revolver.

How about the beretta 9000s? I carried one for a couple years and really liked it. It's similar to the 92 you already have as far as disassembly. Pretty good gun for the money, just check one out in person, some people don't like the grip. The px4 is the newer version of the 9000 if I'm not mistaken.

Also, there is an adaptor which allows the use of 92/96 mags.
