I've never held the thing in my hands, but I kind of like the fact that it's ovesized with rounded edges.
However I will agree on one point, they should have went with a standard commercial tube. They should have had no problem outsourcing the tube and mounting hardware. Aside from the poor quality of their tube, compatibility and the ability to swap stocks among your other rifles would have been a plus.
I know what you mean about the "low drag" sort of smoothness. When I say it is big, I mean when it is on the rifle is just feels (and looks) bulky and cumbersome -- the stock piece alone (without the tube) weighs a full pound!
