New Cimarron Single Action

Picked this up Friday evening. Older Cimarron Sheriff's model with 3 1/2" barrel and 45acp cylinder.
Been wanting a shorter barreled SAA replica for a while, and I loved the look of this one. Coloring is nice, and the action/trigger are smooth. Makes a nice companion to my 4 3/4" 357mag
I just finished up a cross-draw holster for it.
Next up is looking for faux ivory grips for it.

Sweet. Love the SAA clones. I have a 5.5, a 4.75, and a 3.5 with a birdshead grip. One of the Sheriff's might be on the list after things cool down.

That 3 1/2" barrel looks great on your new Cimarron and makes for a nice companion to your other single action! Good job on making your own holster for it too!

I'm also a fan of faux ivory as I will never be able to afford the real thing!

been looking at the Cimmaron's SAA. Sometimes I like the contrast of lighter grips, but - for whatever reason Maple always appealed to me, or the faux staghorn. Black grips looks the best to me, but are not as showy, and with a frame like that, just cries to be dressed up nice ...

Yeah I'm sure it either came with both or the 45ACP cylinder was purchased as an accessory later.

Have you put a ruler on that barrel?
In any case, love that it has an ejector, even if it only partially pops the case.
Really like the looks of that, and have a real weakness for .45 Colt hoglegs.

Yep, 3.5" from forcing cone to muzzle.
Thats what drew me to it as well. I don't like the bar keep models with no ejector rod. This one might be a tad short to fully kick out 45colt, but it does a fine job with the short and fat ACP cases.

This one? It is a sharp looking gun. I dont see a model name for it, just that it's a Davidson's exclusive.

Mine in 357 magnum with the holster I made for it. Surprisingly accurate for the short sighting radius. If I hit the ejector sharply it will drop empties.

Nice looking Pietta. Couldn't find it on the Pietta or EMF sites. Like that one.

Got a set of Arizona Custom "Magna-tusk" grips.
I like the look of them a lot, don't have the "grain" of ivory, but I do like the look.
They also fit very well to be a pre-fit grip. not perfect by any means, but really good. They come as a 3 piece grip that has to be epoxied together. I'm going to do a separate thread on them since info was hard to find when I was looking into them.
