About 8 or 9 years ago I bought a set of replacement grips for several of my Ruger revolvers including 2 Ruger Old Army pistols from Altamont. One of the sets didn't fit quite right so I tried to alter them. However, they kept shifting and I kept tightening the retaining screw. A couple of months ago I tightened them again and CRACK!

The screw finally broke the nut loose plus several shards of the grips. I should have sent them back when they didn't fit the 1st time but "I can fix anything" syndrome hit me.

Today I got replacement grips back along with 3 replacement screws and they fit perfectly. I am thoroughly pleased with Altamont's customer service. There was no charge for the replacement grips.

Several years ago, Altamont tried getting into selling their grips on E-Bay and I snagged a few sets for some of my ROAs at bargain prices of $20-$25 each.
I wish I would have grabbed a few more, they just weren't getting many bids.
I don't recall for sure how long they gave it a go, but it seems like it was just a few months at most.
