"Our message to the NRA...Make our day." I thought we were supposed to be the "Dirty Harry" wannabes?

Seriously though this is just more California insanity. I do however think that banning rifles in .50 BMG was a bad idea for law enforcement purposes. I mean criminals were so much easier to spot when they were walking around with Barrett rifles tucked in the front of their pants.

Well...I agree with making ILLEGAL weapons 'public enemy number one'...I just don't get the point of making LEGAL weapons ILLEGAL just based on what they shoot or how they look <sigh> Guess I must just be missing something that's only obvious to politicians.

Little Baby Jesus will be happy come Christmas. Crime with .50 Caliber BMG weapons will drop from well 0.0% to something like 0.0000000%; if that isn't progress California isn't progressive.

How insane, banning exotic calibres and platforms.

Face to face ammo purchase? Because gang members always buy their ammo.

Hidden weapon compartments banned? Are you kidding me? You are going to tell me what I can cosmetically alter on my car?!

Never ever, will I live there.:)

Typical arrogant and uninformed government officials, making laws that only punish the law abiding and taxpaying public.

Concerning Godzilla... you know the Japanese are set to clone woolly mammoths... so... I'm just saying, 50bmg might be good in civilian hands in California... or if they have such a problem with that caliber, how about .498 BMG? All the stopping power in a smaller bullet!

Those people aren't stupid. Just really good liars. They aren't afraid of crime from 50 cal weapons. They are afraid of a future riot or uprising where the public is as well armed as they are. That's what they are afraid of. They envision police vehicles being disabled by 50 cal weapons during a riot.

Yes. And they think that making someone drive to Long Beach to get the rounds will stop them from using them in Los Angeles.

Why do they think that they will win? Do they think that this will stay in their city courts?

The problem is that it's a city trying to regulate interstate commerce by banning Internet sales, which may well run afoul of the Constitution.

Until the people of ********** throw the bums out they will be drowning in socialist laws to limit their freedoms. Change it or you deserve it.

All this from a state that is so broke they are issuing IOU's to pay their salaries and bills.

No wonder they are out of money.

    Reporter LKB3rd stands up:
"Since, as you have told us .50 caliber rifles are only useful for fighting Godzilla, I assume you are expecting him to attack LA. Is this why the police need them?"
