I just picked up my new Kel Tec pf9 today and stopped by the range for a 100 round introduction. It handles and ponits very well, but the recoil is a little, well OUCH!!! I expected the recoil to be more than my Kimber 9mm, so it was no surprise. I really liked that I could point shoot the gun at 10 yards and get all bullets easily in center mass. It actually groups really well in slow fire. I had zero malfunctions in 100 rounds, but I doubt that I will ever shoot 100 rounds out of it again(not all at once). I didn't have any problems with any flyers outside the eight ring of the sillouette. For what it is made, it is a very good gun. Easily concealed, respectable caliber, respectable accuracy. I used 50 rounds of WWB and 50 rounds of PMC ammo.

Over all, I'm very happy with my choice. BTW, when I picked it up, they told me that since I bought a 9mm pistol on this day, I got $50 worth of free accessories!!!! I got 2 boxes of 9mm and an extra mag for the pf9.....awsome!!!

Glad to hear good feedback from an owner. I've considered getting one myself as an on-duty backup, but went with the p3at because I can conceal it better in uniform (I'm a pretty small guy). I still may pick one up though one of these days.

I don't think it would be a bad choice for a BUG. I want you guys to have all the firepower you can get. Yall deal with some real idiots with real problems. Thanks, by the way, for doing your job.

I've owned both the P3AT and the PF9 since they were available in my area. I'm not a small guy, but still found the P3AT to carry a little better than the PF9 as an "On Duty" backup. In a Nemisis pocket holster it carries great in the cargo pocket of my BDUs. Carried it behind the duty belt with the belt clip when wearing Class "A" uniforms. Both work great for their intended purpose. Qualifications were a breeze, and the pistols are reasonably powerful, and reliable. You'll like the PF9!!!
