Initial UN-packing and inspection report forthcoming......Also getting a new Fenix TK12 as well....same box. Yah!

Just arrived, CRKT Black Dragon. As I am a big fan of the Warncliff blade, I wanted one. Plus, they are inexpensive for a good knife. I need to do some cutting with it but it is shave sharp, has a nice blade shape, and just looks plain cool in black or silver, but more-so in black. The sheath is kydex or plastic but nicely made, and the knife is very secure in it but easy to get out when needed if you are used to at all these kydex sheaths. Most people try to yank the knife out when it is best to push it out with the thumb against the sheath whilst drawing the knife out. I have it in boot carry now and it is easy to get to if needed. The point is amazingly sharp, and looks as if it will penetrate anything I need to stab at if ever needed. Good size although I hoe they make a mini about an inch or so shorter, it would become my daily carry knife.

The finish looks great, and hopefully, it'll hold up like my other CRKTs. I have never had one problem with a CRKT and so far this one looks and feels stellar.

Oh, and if CRKT ever makes a folder version, I will be the first to buy it.

9Cr18MoV blade, G10 scales, Kydex sheath, about $60.00 depending on where one finds one.

Hey Sniper

I never have been a fan of the Warney blade style, but I have been carrying a small Random Task for about 8 years. It will get the job done and it is about my favorite pocket knife. Congrats on the new knife, have fun using it...

Very handsome knife, sir!

Just curious, Sniper X, what it is about the Warncliff blade that you find advantageous? Does this knife has a specific purpose or niche?

It is a great utility shape. I find it easy to use for random daily tasks more so than pretty much every other shape save for a close second, the clip. I also find the shape of this new one to be a very good defensive shape for me too as I have already trained a bit with it and it is great for it.

G Wheeler, I wanted a random task for a while but have never found one locally. It is a semi warncliff design and I love the Kershaws for quality and value and own four of them now.

Actual pic of knife and new Fenix TK12....

He did say BUT but, that is kinda funny in a way. Although, everyone I know who tries a Warncliff or sheeps foot ends up BEING a fan.
