Not so great customer service from OSPREY
Got their 10-40x50 in November 2010, unit had some problems, emailed them,
shipped mine, waited a while for replacement, and????, got it- got scope that was returned to them by somebody, or a demo with scratches over the knobs, dead battery, signs of mounting on the rings, fingerprints and matte scratches allover the lens covers. Got upset, emailed them, and they asked to return the returned scope again, and promised sending a brand new unit.
Wow........that's something, shouldn't brand new unit be sent as replacement to start from as replacement for the faulty unit that was month or two old and had problems from very beginning??? Do they need to be caught with the" hand in a cookie jar" and emailed to know that "it would be nice" to send brand new replacement unit not something that was not even cleaned after previous return? Enough is enough. Brandy's emails were apologetic, but it already took more time and patience than I'm willing to spend dealing with $150 scope. Just got another email, they will send me another set of lens covers and new batteries for my now cleaned used replacement.
I have to admit that the quality and looks of the scope is impressive,
- if you get the scope that is problem free. If you need replacement though
return it to store or buy good sneakers as you may need to keep running
back and forth, and keep shipping the returned returns again and again.
