Wow, with Christmas and New Year's and everything that we've had going on since then we've been bouncing around like pinballs in pinball machines and I haven't had time to get anyting done on my reloading bench, however, that hasn't stopped me from investing in my reloading bench and picking a few more things up for it like a new Lyman brass master "All American 8" turrent press because it's supposed to be the cat's meow for even the biggest rifle brass and that's primarily what I reload, rifle brass with the exception of my 44 spl & 44 Mags. This should be a nice upgrade from the pair of single stage presses I have now and should eliminate all the time consuming die changes and just make the bench work easier :) ...

I picked up some more dies in 30-40 Krag , 30/30, x39, 6.5 Carcano, 22-250, 8mm x56R, 5.56 and a swage & neck expanding die. I also got me a 6" dial Caliper and a few other miscellaneous odds and ends for the bench as well as a Stack-On tactical cabinet that will hold 3 rifles and also offers a lot of storage space and an 18 gun safe that should hold 24-26 rifles with the expression kit that I got with it :) . Now I need to get my new safe unloaded from the back of my SUV so I can get it moved into the house and get all my stuff squared away and get a few things on my bench done :) ..

The pic on the box looks suspiciously like a Redding T-7 with an extra hole in the turret and a new paint job. Wonder if a patent ran out? If it is Redding quality, you'll love it.

This Lyman press is made from thick solid cast iron and built like a Sherman tank and it's a heavy sumbitch for sure but it seems real smooth. Surprisingly it does look just like a Redding t7 with a little more but for $180 I couldn't pass it up :) ..

Congrats! I also got the All American 8 press for Christmas. I have mine all put together and mounted on my bench, but I haven't used it yet. Be sure to apply some gun oil to all of the joints and also coat the ram. Mine was dry and stiff out of the box, but smoothed up like butter once I oil all the joints and the ram. Enjoy!

LOL on there being a current patent on a turret press concept! (I have not done a PTO search, there may even be such a patent, I'm just laughing at how ludicrous it would be to claim novelty. But patent agents' lives are made of such things.)

Yeah, that would be funny, wouldn't it. Sorta like Chevy having patents pertaining to their automobiles. Never gonna happen, right?

You can't just patent any product you manufacture. Here's a brief article on it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patentability

Many new products that come to market are not patentable. Many patents are granted and then later challenged and revoked because, for instance, they lack novelty or were obvious.
