New Here

Hey everybody, I'm new here. Located in the mountains of NC. Ive used this site about a 1000 times and just now signed up. I'm interested in ALL guns.

Hi all, Another newby here. Hope to find out what this forum is all about after getting settled in. Current shooting is in .22 and CF leagues. Am into all aspects of shooting sports. Own the usual... 12ga pump rem, couple of pistols (.22 and .40) Couple of .22 rifles, .30-06 and .30-30 deer rifles, and a .50cal Hawken percussion replica that was the first rifle I built myself. Like to play guitar and build tube amps for old rockers!

Hi Everyone, I'm Billy and I live in Statesville NC, a small town at the foot of the North Carolina Mt.s I've used this site many times when Google ing for gun info it always pops up with a thread were some one has already asked the same question I'm looking to answer.
When I was younger I shot Racegun competition with wheel guns and later 45acp. When the IBS opened a 1000 yard range here in NC I shot competition in that until Work and Family took up all my extra time and now I shoot long range with friends when ever we can all make time to get together. We like to have EGG shoots at 200, 500, 600 yards...we've also started 50 yard paintball shoots with 22lr. Thats really a blast and easy on the pocket book..Hope to get to know alot of you soon...THX..Bc

Hi everyone!

Looking for some help and guidance! I am a gun enthusiast and enjoy reloading and shooting and yes investing in guns. Looking for parts for a 1903 A3 ? My first forum hope you understand.

hello , before I "signed up" I did a lot of reading on this site, a lot of great topics and TONS of good information, a lot of folks I can relate with,

I live and work, in a somewhat remote area of North East British Columbia, Canada ( the Great White North ehhh?)
hunting opportunities are vast,
my interests are looking after my family, hunting big game, shooting, tinkering with guns, and "leavin the other guy alone",

I don't like politicians, busy highways, trespassers or people who wish to ram their biased view down my throat,

I love the great outdoors, shooting, collecting firearms, hunting, wild-life photography, eating red meat, and vegetables, chicken too! lol

I served in the Canadian Armed Forces for several years,
now days, I make my real money working on frozen HD diesel equipment in long sub-zero winters,

if I can ever be of assistance to anyone, should a topic arise ?
just drop me a line ( msg)

good day !

Hello everyone. I'm a new member from northern IL. I have been lurking in the shadows taking in all the great info this forum has to offer. I finally registered and decided to post... I'm building my collection, and look forward to learning more about firearms and the sport in general.

Hello all! I live in South Florida and work as a Firefighter. I have been around and loved guns all of my life as my Dad was and is an avid hunter. I ccw and do a little deer hunting. I ccw a Kahr cw9 or a S&W 442. I hunt with an old Marlin 30-30.

Greetings from a long time shooter but new to the forum

Hi,

Just a quick hello from a long time shooter (range). Waiting for the paperwork to come in so I can order my 460 xvr.

All the best,
Andy

Just curious, but are you any of the Granatelli clan that owns Paxton blowers?
Years and years ago I knew one of the Granatelli clan, the grandson, I believe, when they were over in Santa Monica. Bought a Paxton blower from them back in about '89 or so.

33 year old Central Floridian here. I've been looking for a good all around forum that doesn't favor one brand, as my collection varies greatly from long arms, to the classics, and even some newer designed autos. I mainly just shoot for the sport of it, and this site fits the bill perfectly for me.

Hi, I’ve been lurking for a while now and decided I may be ready to share my alleged whit and questionable wisdom from time to time. I’ve been a fan of Oleg’s pro-2A artwork for some time. So let’s see… I’m a Pacific Northwest resident but was not born here. I work in the software industry. I’m older than the microchip but younger than dirt. I like shotguns, rifles, pistols – it’s all good to me. I occasionally teach and RSO at the trap facility at a local club. I’m not really that impressive at trap myself but really I enjoy it. I like target shooting with rifles the best and am slowly improving at it. Did my first trigger job just a few months ago and promptly shot my first substantially sub-MOA group with that gun the next week. And I make a mean chili.

Regards, Floppy

Hey Im New, Im Johnny (johnny97216)

Hey all,

Im Johnny. I live in Portland Oregon. My life in very ordnary. I have a 15 year old son who hates me 85% of the time unless I am giving him money. I have a wonderful wife who loves me very much. We are poor as they come. Portland used to be a great twon to live in, and dont get me wrong, it still is. the problem is that its become the new trendy hot place to live for 30 somthings. It must be what Austin, Texas went through a few yreas back. i live im a little house that takes 90% of all the money I am making right now. I do a little under the table work just to keep a float and not being yelled at my my loving 15 year old son that we dont have everything the Jones have nextdoor. The most fun I have is ordering rifle and shooting catalogs. I am a paraplegic, I cant walk at all and use a wheelchair. I was in an auto accident when i was 19, im going to be 40 this october. I understand moderate computer programming and networking. the Portland merto area is full of people who can do what i do now. I Get $636 dollars from social security and every two dollar I make they take one away, that would be fine, but i really need that health insurence. I really want to but together a nice AR or a model 94 to go shooting like i used to do with my father. I have a Gano hunter pellet rifle but the chalange has worn off and i can basicly shoot a bumble bee from flight with that thing. i have saved up $115 buck to get myself an AR-15 Lower. I love oregon, I would like to buy a Noveske but there area couple other oregon millers who made good quallity products. If anyone here hasa used lower with blems, I could go for that, i thought aabout a plum crazy, then i really thought that was crazy. I am still a guy and I still want somthing to be proud of when other shooter look at me, and they do, benchrest shooting from a wheelchair gathers all the eyes, not the men in the 50's plus but the 30 year old types. I hope to learn a lot from all of you. THR and Northwest firearms are the only fourms that the people sounded down to earth, not trying to out do each other with who had more information than another person did. I know I tend to go long but I wanted to give you an idea who I was.

thanks.

Johnny.

PS... sorry for any spelling errors, it takes a few minutes to type and 20 minutes to edit

Hi all. New to the High Road. I used to shoot and qualify in the military and just got back into it. Currently have a Glock 23 but no CCW as I reside in the People Republik of California. Maybe someday.

Thank You!

My first post on the forum. One of the reasons I joined The High Road was the discussions concerning the side by side shotguns (all kinds), home defense, etc. as well as the discusions on education. The site is so large I've barely begun to touch the surface. Just want to say this is absolutely one of the best, most respectful and intellegent forums I've ever come across. Some of the other stuff out there on the other so-called forums makes me want to sell all my firearms and quit te sport, thank you to the founders, administrators as well as the supporting membership of the High Road for this format. I hope to add more constructive comments in the coming weeks but wanted to get that first post in!

Hello everyone, I'm Anthony from Arkansas. I'm a young shooter/enthusiast who has been lurking the forums for quite some time soaking up as much information as I can to become a responsible gun owner.

I hope to become a productive and informed member of the THR forums.

woo first post!

Hey, all. I've been reading THR posts for years when searching the web for firearms related topics but until recently I've never actually visited the site. Nice place; think I'll slip my shoes off and set a while.
