Hi there, I'm Zach, I too thought it was about time I just joined rather than read as a creepy guest that keeps coming back. Into every thing from muskets to SMG's.

Hello from Georgia

New here from Georgia. Enjoy shooting in general, handguns, rifles, and shotguns, equally well. I look forward to being part of this forum. Just by what I've read so far, I have hit the jackpot on info and knowledge by coming here.

Greetings, all. I found your forum while looking up gun laws info (the Connecticut school shooting tragedy is all over the news, and I was looking up the laws there as well as the states in which I will be traveling soon). A couple of discussions came up a couple of times in my various searches and I decided to check out the community. I have read a few threads and liked the discussions I found, though mostly they were a bit out of my league.

My name is Samantha and I am a housewife and mother currently living in Texas. I have recently become a gun owner and have my license to carry it concealed. I'm married and .. uh... I have two kids and three dogs... and..I never know what to put in these introduction things...

Greetings from Arizona, I’m a retired Nuclear Power Plant operator. I’ve been married 38 years with 3 kids and 3 grandkids. I found the forum while searching for info on reloading my 22-250. I am a veteran of the Navy. I served on Nuclear Submarines from Jan 67 thru Dec 72. I enjoy discussing guns, reloading and hunting as well as political topics.

Greetings and salutation...again

Hi, former member who has returned. I used to be on here under the same name years ago. Live got in the way and I took a break. Life changes yet again, soooooooo, I one again find my way back.

Bit-o-bout me...Army vet from 87-96, few civilian jobs after, back to college after being laid off from HP, now I am once again back in the arms of the federal government as a medic at the local VA hospital where I have been for the last few years.

My fire arm interests starts with growing up in the central mountains of Idaho hunting and shooting, typical Army stuff then was made a unit armorer, post Army is mostly recreational shooting, plinking, hunting, and grumbling about gun laws that make no sense.

I enjoy all guns, from small ccw, .22 plinkers, semi-auto side arms and rifles, hunting bolt guns, to shot guns and everything in between.

Evening all from the UK, former member (UKArmourer) had a change of email, address etc so just rejoined!
Bit about me, serving Armourer (British Army, we do it differently to your Armorers) into shooting, currently own a Remi 1100, however work allows me to play with all, sorts of toys so I'm not too much in a rush for my Firearms license as yet.

introduction

Good evening, i am into pre 64 large cal revolvers and the 10mm semi auto, information #1 ON THIS WEBSITE , thanks again, running glock 20 and SW 19-4 .357 and Colt 38 special and a ancient ruger Blackhawk 44 magnum really hard on feral hogs,,, ....

"gun collector"

Hope you noticed the term "gun collector" being used in the recent shooting thing on the news? Another pawn moved 1 square forward against gun ownership. Now collectors are a target.

I didn't know this thread existed :) I'm glad i can tell some of y'all who I am. My name is James and I grew up in Massachusetts. I played four sports throughout high school and wrestled a bit as well. I'm a big fat A*^ now weighing in at 330, so running from a fight has never been an option for me. Won most of them, got my butt kicked a few times, but its made me a better person, that and I've never actually started any of them. I now live in central Texas where I manage a floor of sales people for a home security company. I am absolutely in love with firearms. I now own 16 different 9MM pistols and many different long guns. Buying, selling, trading, and bringing life into guns their previous owners thought dead has been an incredible hobby for me. I love getting a gun for 100 bucks because someone thinks its broken but it only has a magazine issue (most likely the case). I love guns. I really need to buy some land so i can shoot relatively unrestricted... If anyone in central texas see's this and would let me use their land I'd be happy to pay a small fee, and would clean up my mess.

Hi, I'm a new member. I am a retired fire fighter from Windsor Ontario. My hunting is pretty much limited to whitetail deer now. I was an avid water fowl and small game hunter. I use to love getting out at night for coons. Our area has been built up to the point where there is nothing left for hunting. Only land owners or pretty much the friends of the land owners have the privilege to hunt. I drive to eastern Ontario (Ottawa valley) to hunt deer. I have always loved guns and hunting. Throw in a little fishing and a little golf and that's the whole shabang.

Hello

Epee here,

I'm an ex rifle competitor from the 90's.

I use this site for information constantly. I'm glad this board is here.

Welcome to the new folks.

Good to see you here.

Please understand that THR is different in that we do expect everyone to follow the code of conduct in keeping the discussions civil and family friendly. The referenced Art's Granmaw uses home made lye soap, so stay on her good side! ;)

If you have questions about the site itself the Technical forum is the place to look for answers.

Have fun and help us all show the world that gunowners are good folks.

north dakota boy

I was born and raised in North Dakota, i enjoy hunting, bench shooting, fishing, raising and training horses.

Although i have always had and loved guns, I had fallen away from the hunting thing for awhile, now my 12 year old son has pulled me back into it because that is all he cares about! haha We spend alot of time chasing coyotes, deer, pheasant.

we have several guns, my favorites are 22-250,243,25-06 and my next one will be either a .338 lapua or a 30/338 wildcat.

Long-time fan

Hello, I should have posted here a couple weeks ago when I first signed up, my bad. I'm an ex-Army officer, currently in the great state of Virginia, and a CCW holder. I don't hunt as much as I want to, but ducks and whitetails are my game of choice.
Happily married and currently managing a large brood of kids, so my opinions tend to stay on the "keep everybody safe, forever" side of things. I'm a strong believer in RKBA, the 2nd Amendment, and the rest of the Constitution for that matter.
I hope I can contribute something for the other members here, as I have certainly gotten a lot of advice from this site over the years.

Hello everyone.

Good morning all. I'm dropping a few lines to say thank you for a great forum, and to give a little intro.

My name is Dave and I'm from Cape Girardeau, MO. I'm an Army vet who spent 7 years as a Huey 'Chief. I'm married to a beautiful feisty redhead who helps keep me in line and out of trouble. We're blessed with three brilliant and adorable rugrats; 11, 7, & 2. Definitely keep is running.

I just started a custom holster company about a month ago. I've been working leather for a while. After deciding I was too cheap to pay close to $200 for an IWB holster for my 1911 and then wait 6 months for it; I spent several weeks working up a few new designs that could stand up to or beat what was on the market. I made myself a few; which in turn led to a few more for forum friends. After some serious trials and surprisingly positive feedback from a few well respected gun gurus, it looked like I was on to something. I spent the next few months finalizing my IWB designs, adding 4 more main OWB and IWB models as well as cowboy holster and belt rigs, and now just got in 7 new gun molds to widen my product range across the board. It's been exciting so far and it is so much fun working with forum friends and clients all around the country.

I love my 1911s and recently began getting into revolvers. I'm really digging my single actions and can't seem to get enough! Throw in a few rifles and ARs to the mix here too. My better half has been pretty supportive of my obsessions over the years, and my guns and new biz are no exceptions. She is even started asking about taking the CCW class and hitting the range. Recent tragic events really have pushed that home even farther. I haven't hunted in decades, but only because time isn't there and I've had too many other pricey hobbies over the years.

I look forward to hanging out here and hopefully getting to know a lot of you. Still an infinite amount of stuff for me to learn and maybe I can throw in a few things here and there as well. If I can answer any holster or leather questions for you, just give me a shout.

New member

Hi everyone. Was looking for an answer about gun accuracy when I found the answer on this site.

I have been a CCP holder for 25 years now & a competitive Bulls-eye Pistol Shooter.

I have been an NRA member for many years.

I am also a member of a popular shooting Club here in Lancaster NY.
(A suburb of Buffalo NY.)

I am a semi retired Automotive Technician. I still love working on, cruising and drag racing my Buick Grand National.

Just sold my 03 Harley Road King, due to back surgery & ongoing pain/problems.

Love to build, drive & sell most any vehicle, but mainly Buick Grand Nationals, and Turbo Buick's when my back allows me to.

Hi all - new here, having first posted on the Marlin 39A club thread. Yes, I do own a Marlin 39A - been in my family since before I was born.

I'm in the high tech field, focused on Marketing and Product Management. I have an undergrad in Accounting, a Master's in Software Engineering. I am a car buff, own a '66 Jag E-type and a '67 Honda CL/77 motorcycle (which my father was the 2nd owner, and passed it to me). Also coach travel soccer and roll competitive Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (currently a blue belt, but have been out due to surgical re-attachment of my bicep...OUCH!).

As it related to firearms, I've had quite a few come and go. Learned on my dad's S&W .38 snub nose revolver, which I had but gave back to him. Also had a Springfield 30.06 rifle - gave that back to him too (too much for me to handle). Had a S&W 915 that I sold back in the day to pay my mortgage - wish I had that back. Have been out of the game for awhile since my wife and 2 kids aren't as into the gun thing as I am, but with the Marlin, I may take the kids plinking soon.

I'm looking to get a M&P15-22 for me and the kids, and possibly a .380 or 9mm pistol.
