Good to be here. I signed on yesterday. I found this forum doing a search for a particular 'smithing task. My main interest has been Cowboy Action Shooting and guns of the old west. That isn't my only interest but the one that I lean towards. I moderate a forum for Western leather, holsters and the like. I have looked over some of the forums here and will chime in if I have any questions or anything to add.

Hi!
Have watched many interesting topics here for a while and thought it would make sense to get an account to ask for help and maybe be of help, too,
I'm from Austria/Vienna and been shooting and reloading for about six years. So in fact I'm a beginner.
My interest in shooting is ever growing as is my collection of handguns and rifles. I do reload for all my weapons and calibers, except my .22lr weapons of course.
I share all my weapons with my wife and vice versa so we now have a lot of fun in our cabinets.

Hey Folks,

Finally joined after reading for a while. I'm located in North Alabama, and a pilot in the corporate world. Thus "PackingPilot." Generally a Glock Handgun guy with various other toys, but glad I finally took the plunge to join!

Hi. New member in NC (originally from OH, have lived in SC). Looks like a great place to share information with other enthusiasts. I enjoy collecting, recreational shooting, and firearms history. Staying informed on firearms legislation and cases moving through the courts is important to me as well. Now that I have an account I'm looking forward to participating in some good discussion.

Good Morning all

Just joined this group, live down in Florida have really not touched a firearm since my time in service (early 70's) A good friend took me to a range last week and I had a fantastic time. Great forum plenty of information that I am trying to gobble up.
Will be looking for a firearm for the range as well as home defense.

Hi

I live in Belgium in Europe and have been shooting for as long as i can remember

Started with air rifles and bb guns as a kid and from there my interest and passion for guns grew

Today i have gathered myself a nice collection

Glock 17 , 19 , 21 , 22 , 26 , 44
Sig sauer p226 sl , p229 legion , p320 c , 1911
Beretta px4 , 92fs inox
Colt gold cup
S&W 686 4inch , m&p22
Ppks in 22lr
Canik tp 9 elite combat
Cz 58 , scorpion evo 3
Gp stribog
Sig 522 , 550 , mcx
Fabarm stf 12

A lot of these have been personal projects where i tried to achieve a better gun then out of the box ( in some cases this was not neccessary at all )

Finding the needed parts was not always easy for me as a lot of great items are not so easy to get here. For example all of the great products from hbi for the evo and the stribog but i was lucky enough to obtain most of the items i wanted

Hope to learn and read many intereting things here

Hello all New to the forum and I am looking forward to participating in future discussions which I am sure I can learn a few things and maybe share some thing with all of you I have learned in my more than 35 years of experience shooting and hunting.

I've always done shooting at the range or outdoors. I used to install alarms and did many gun shops, and that's where I bought my guns. When you had a two week waiting period et cetera.

Lately I've been expanding my collection and planning on more range visits.

I'm a Glock enthusiast and I enjoy hot .45 and 10mm. I have had one of the early G20s but just bought a G29.

My daily carry is a G27 or sometimes a G23.

Glad to be here.

New from SC. Been visiting and reading post for a while now. Glad to now be able to ask questions and discuss with everyone.

Not as new, I was a member of the old high road board. Just thought I would come back after a few years. I look forward to conversations.

Hello everyone,

Coming from southeastern Europe and in a process of buying my first rifle. Up until now I had experience with handguns (9x19 luger) but I feel like these are inadequate for my needs now. Besides over here you can only buy one firearm at a time so I feel like the rifle gets the priority since I will be spending lots of time in the woods.

Looking forward to some great discussions on this forum!

greetings fellow shoters . curently amusining my self with the 708 in a remington R25 (lr10) pretty much found the load it likes

Howdy,

I am a new member who lives in both Manhattan and on Long Island. Yep, we are allowed to have guns and I shoot Pistol, Rifle and Shotgun regularly.

Bob

Hi, Welcome to THR. Good number of members from around NYS on here, including me; who's northwest of Rochester. Sort of an enigma in this part of the state being around so many gun friendly folks yet being in NY state at the same time. Have gun owners down in the NYC / Long Island area been declared an endangered species yet ? (grin).

Hello all. I'm joining the forum after several years of intermittent lurking. I'm retired, like to camp with the wife, have many different interests including muzzle loading, handguns, and long arms. I reload and do some hunting, too.

I guess I posted in the wrong place. Sorry about that.

I owned a gun shop (side line business though open 7 days a week, staffed with off duty police) from 1970 until 1986 when I moved to Chicago. Kept the FFL until 1998.

Shooting wise, I shoot 100, 200, 300, 600, 800 and 1,000 yard Benchrest and 1,000 Yard Palma and F Class.

I shoot registered skeet and now have started shooting Bullseye and Free Pistol.

Yes, it is my 1 of 19 - 1967 All Matching Number 427/435 HP L-89 with Factory Side Pipes.

I split my time between Sag Harbor on Long Island and Manhattan. I belong to gun clubs in both areas as well as in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Hi to the THR team from the land of the long white cloud (New Zealand) my name is James. I’m I’m big into my game bird shooting and deer stalking. Our duck season is coming to an end shortly. I own a few guns to suit my needs. But just recently I have acquired a side by side 12g shotgun from my father in law which was his fathers and then his fathers fathers if you catch my drift. Just wondering if anyone would be able to point me in the right direction or if anyone would know abit of information on Fs. Dumoulin & co shotguns. I will unload some pictures.
Any help be great cheers
