hello.. im scott from minnesota. i have a question, does anyone have an opinion on the px4 storm 9mm from beretta??? iv been lokking at them and they seem to look and feel great.

Hello from 1000 km north of the Montana Border!

Have done a little reading on the site and the discussions look interesting. I am up in Fort McMurray, Alberta, so nothing but forest for 200 km in any direction. Good country for hunting.

Going to the shooting range is a family affair up here. I have a couple 12 Ga shotguns, a couple .22 rifles, a .22 ruger pistol, an M-1 Garand & and Lee Enfield... Makes for a fun, but expensive day at the range. A family of five can shoot off a lot of ammo! :D

Hi, I'm Chris from Texas. I've read this forum in the past, but recently joined due to some crime a little too close to home and a desire to become acquainted with a defensive handgun. I've never owned a gun, but fired various firearms before. Right now a Glock 27's in the lead due to price, power, and conceal ability, so it's up on my list to rent and fire. I know everyone's going to shout 1911, but that'll have to wait until down the road.

Can anyone help me find literature on basic handgun technique and training? I'm fairly clueless, but thirsty for knowledge.

Chris also look on the Glock web sight,if your going to go glock it's a good choise.I own a Glock2240cal,ive realy enjoy firing my weapon. Enjoy

New'ish Member Intro

I got around to reading some of the Stickys on this Gen. Gun Discussion and it seems the last post encouraging new members to give an
intro is almost a year since any posts. So, here's an Intro.

I grew up on a Farm in Central Washington. First gun was a single
shot Winchester .22 LR. It was a P.O.S. design it had a
loading port on top, fired from an open bolt and dropped the ejected
round through a open slot in the stock - but it did recock itself
Win. only made it for a couple of years in the '60s. First Hadngun
was a S & W Model 18 .22 LR 4" Bbl. plain ramp and adj. rear.

Ex-Navy 6 yearrs in the 1970s. I still live in Eastern Washington.
I'm retired and mostly interested in handguns, adding to my
collection. But I'm pretty much a historian in general and have studied
all sorts of firearms so a lot of topics interest me.

My project gun this winter is my Marlin 1894 conversion
from .45 COlt to .45 Auto Rim. It'll go with my S & W 625

Bullberry Barrels lists a barrel avilable in

.45 AUto Rimmed... sheeish;....

 New here, also, I wanted to see what my post would look like. :cuss:

My main gun interests are plinking with my ARs and trying to get better with my handguns. Just got an HK USC and awaiting some accessories from HDPS, but man that gun is fun to shoot.

Member but not a poster

Been a member for a while but not a poster as most of it was redundant for me. Just got the ban at AR15.com so need a new discussion board and this seems as good as any.

Hello to All Y'all! I'm originally from Texas, born, raised military brat; 20-year USAF; airline captain, retired by the FAA at age 60. Now living in N CA near Sacramento. Primary interest in guns is defence and Second Ammendment. Life member of NRA. Starting to learn things about rifles and handguns that I never knew. And it is fascinating! Hoping for some good conversations and good information! Thanks!

Hi folks. I've heard talk of this forum, but never really checked it out. I generally hang out at www.handgunforum.net.

Looks like a nice place.

My gun addiction started about 18 months ago.

Still haven't found a cure ... but then I haven't really been looking for one.

Howdy.

My name is Paul and I've been lurking in the forums for a while. I finally signed up for an account to start posting. I just recently got my WA CPL. I joined because I beleive the High Road could be a excellent resource.

Hello, new guy here. The site looks great and there is a ton of great info here. I have just spent the las few hours reading post and learning a great deal. I hope to help out where I can:)

Hi everyone. No, I'm not Rush Limbaugh, and no, I didn't name myself for him. He's great, but not libertarian enough for me.

I'm a housewife. I carry a gun. Sometimes two.

I live somewhere in the South... yes... we're "redneck" - we're the "culture of violence". As if the Left Coast or urban NYC is all carebear.

Some of your regular posters are my friends and family in real life. Hi, guys, if you figure out I'm here. :))

I probably won't be posting much. Discussing gun rights raises my blood pressure to dangerous levels. My sig, were I not too lazy to make one, would read "Gun control is evil." Because it's a fact, pure and simple.

Hey guy's and gal's, what's up? My real name is Ryan, I live in Colorado, I'm 30 years old, and I have been an avid shooting/gun enthusiast for about 10 years now. My other hobbies include four-wheeling (jeep), hiking, camping, whitewater rafting, basically all things outdoor's, Colorado is an awesome place.:D

I currently own four handguns and three rifles. XD-40, Taurus Mil-Pro 40, Ruger 22/45, and a Taurus Tracker 357 mag. This collection has served me very well. Rifles are a Yugo SKS, Marlin 925M 22 mag, and an M-1 30 Carbine. Last, but not least, a Mossberg 500 12 gauge, 18.5" barrel.

As of late I've become an avid reloader, for 40 S&W and 357 mag. I've drastically cut my ammo cost, I'm shooting better ammo, and I really enjoy it as a pastime.:D

That's me in a nutshell.:D

Welcome folks. Good to see new members sign up. :D

A little intro for everyone. The Forum Rules are in the upper right hand corner of the page beside the THR Library. You should take a little time to read through both. The rules are pretty simple, be civil, remember that everything you post will either help or hurt RKBA, we're a "family" board with lots of younger folks looking over Mom and Dad's and Big Brother/Sister's shoulder while they're on THR so let that guide you in your language and what you link or post. No name calling of individuals or groups. No "Demon-crats", "Re-boobe-lecans". If you don't respect a group, politician or public person then don't be juvenile in showing it. Take their position apart in a civil adult manner where everyone can clearly see the faults and flaws of that position. We attack the argument around here and not the individual. If you're not sure of something just ask a Mod or one of the old timers.

Thanks for pitching in.

I just joined today, am an avid trapshooter. My main interest is trap shooting.
I just inherited some old shotguns from my father in law, nothing of any value other than an old Winchester Model 12 field grade in prety rough shape. Will keep it in the family.
My wife is getting interested in shooting trap (finally, after 23 years of marriage).
I've been shooting a left handed Remington 1100 trap for 20 years, decided to retire the gun before something breaks that can't be replaced.
Bought a Browning XT trap, so far I like the gun, but I would rather have had a K80. With two kids in college, that will have to wait a few more years.

Another FNG

I found this place from a link from the Ruger Forum. I haven't had a chance to look around yet, but thought I'd introduce myself. I'm in the great Republic of Texas. I'm more into collecting and shooting (mostly Rugers) than hunting. I used to hunt rabbit, squirrel and pheasant as a kid in Ohio. I've done some dove hunting, which is pretty fun, but I haven't gotten that good at it. I like the outdoors, camping and motorcycles.
