Good morning ! Just got approval and wanted to say Hi. I'm and avid shooter and been reloading for various rifle and handguns for over 50 yrs. I hunt and fish and compete some. I'm a retired equipment operator and live in S Oregon.
Howdy and Welcome from Texas!

Welcome aboard, 7mmRLC ! We are glad you found us. We look forward to having the benefit of your experience, and hope you will enjoy your time with us. Aside from the knowledge and experience of our members, one of the things we offer is a civil and respectful setting for exchange of useful information. We figure there are better places to discuss politics and other polarizing stuff, so ask that you read the THR primer section in General Gun Discussions and make yourself at home.
Hello from South Carolina and welcome to the forum.

My name is Branden and am from Pittsburgh, PA. I've been around firearms all my life, mostly in a hunting context. About 13 years ago, I started to get into the more tactical side of firearms when my brother - a former Marine - helped me assemble my first AR-15. Been hooked ever since. In June 2024, I obtained my Type 1 FFL after my father - who had his FFL since 1983 - decided not to renew his and carry on his sole proprietorship. I'm carrying on the family name and desire to take the business much further than he ever did. I don't want to use this forum to increase my business; I just want to be around like-minded individuals who share a passion for firearms. That's how I learn. I also would like to meet people in my local area with whom I can establish some rapport for the purpose of learning, range time, etc. As my business grows, I'm sure that will become less difficult than it is now. Looking forward to being here.

Hi. We are News2A and as you can probably guess by the name, we report on 2nd Amendment news. We're two Jersey guys with full-time jobs, one who still lives behind enemy lines and the other now in Nashville. After the Bruen ruling, we spent alot of time in the chambers of the Senate and Assembly in Trenton and watched our lawmakers disregard the overwhelming amount of testimony by members of the public and just basic common sense when passing the "carry killer" bill. That bill, now law, made most of the state a "sensitive place." Much of the law was enjoined and it is currently with the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.

The behavior of our legislators is outrageous and infuriating. We wanted a way to reach more people and spread the right message. Did you know that there are 10 million gun owners not registered to vote?

Anyways, just as the carry killer bill was signed into law, we formed News2A. It has grown into something we never thought it would and our readership is great. We are read, followed, and supported by Senators, Assemblymen, and some of the most well-known content creators in the 2A space. One good way to get to know us, aside from hopefully enjoying the news, editorials, and training we put out, is to check us out on Gun for Hire Radio episode 661.

We have a fantastic lineup of authors. Some of the most notable are:
  • John Petrolino, aka The Pen Patriot. He is speaking to at GRPC and also writes for Bearing Arms, The Truth About Guns, and more
  • Dan Wos, host of The Loaded Mic and author of Good Gun Bad Guy and occasional Newsmax contributor
  • Charlie Cook, host of Riding Shotgun with Charlie
  • Rich Archie, West Tennessee director of Tennessee Firearms Association
  • Joe LoPorto, Director for Government Affairs for the Civil Liberties Policy Research Center of New Jersey
  • many more
We have been truly blessed with the gift of organic growth and success. We hope to contribute here from time to time.

Welcome News2A. It sounds like you are fighting the good fight, and we wish you well. Please read the THR primer in the general gun discussions section and enjoy your experience here. Please also help us try to avoid the anguish that seems to inevitably follow political discussions that alienate. You are welcome to post, but please place the post in the suitable area and if you link to your materials, describe the nature of those materials. Thank you.

Hello
Checking in from NE FL. Originally from Bonner County ID and grew up hunting and fishing. Now in the fall of my life and hoping to retire to NE TN.
Primarily long guns and a few handguns. Recent hobby is breathing life into old American SxS. Other events include hobby farming, old trucks and teaching Hunter Safety.

Hello all. I am Mike from western KY. I'm on many gun boards with the same user name, but only really active on the falfiles where I am a mod, and to a much lesser extent a bit active on the 1919A4 forum. I'm a collector, hunter, WECSOG builder/smith, and a really crappy competitive shooter.

I really doubt I will be posting much here, but so many web searches on various gun questions pointed me to answers here at THR, so I thought I would join and have a more direct route to what seems to be a lot of good info from some good knowledgeable folks.

Welcome Invictus77! Thanks for the intro and taking the time to sign on. Each board has its own vibe, and here we just try to be respectful and helpful. Thanks for all you do to help the cause.

Trying to find old new member intro
Been a few years since I posted
I’m on Central Florida from New Orleans . Retired and shoot as much as I can. I like ARs custom 1911 and If it shoots I will probably want one. I had to clean house wife’s orders- but then my little brother died he was in Iraq many tours and left me his stash. Slowly determining which ones I can hide .
Thank you for such a great site it has grown big time since I was here last.

Hello, everyone. My name is Jason, and I was a member of THR many many years ago (pre-2012). This seems to be the last vestige of traditional forums for firearms and traditional interest enthusiasts. I'm glad to have come back.

I look forward to interacting here and meeting all the folks.

A bit about me: I have been in a sworn profession for 15 years and worked in many capacities in that time. However, I don't know everything and I am a student of life in all respects. I have been a firearms instructor for some time now and teaching is a passion of mine. I lean towards performance based instruction and I enjoy focusing on rapid and efficient deployment of long guns.

My personal time is spent tracking down WW1 era firearms (and spare parts) of all kinds and working up data for "SPR" style AR field matches. So if you want to talk about either of those, I'm always game for it. Or just long guns in general--I literally can't shut up about long guns.

I hope the upcoming Holidays will be great for all of you and again, I'm looking forward to being around here.

-Jason

Welcome back, Out of curiosity, did you have the same (or similar) screen name during your previous tenure here? Anyway, good to have another humble professional onboard -- and considering one's self a life-long learner is always the best way to go through life.

We are always glad to see old friends! Welcome back Calicojack and JasonR30! We're all still trying to figure things out and learning as we go. Thanks for checking in again and we hope you will enjoy your stay.
