    Hello,
I am James E. Davis (jed) and I have just joined the forum.

I have many years of experience with Smith and Wesson products,
Berettas, Glocks, 1911 style pistols, Colt Products.

I like revolvers and semiauto handguns.

When Tuner was in Glock Talk, I learned much about the 1911 and still would like to know more. I did not join GT was a lurker only. When Tuner and other knowledgable men left that forum, it ceased to interest me.

I have been a chemist now for 34 years and the field has grown quite stale.

Outside interests, are beginning to replace my professional interest and retirement as a chemist is getting closer daily.

I am looking forward to more learning.

    Thanks

    jed

Thanks for the welcome. I sorta fell into chemistry as a profession.
I have done some teaching of it, but no more. This is truly a dead end profession.

I was a commissioned Army officer and there became highly interested in the 1911 handguns.

    Welcome Jed!

Ignore everything ElT tells you except the part about having nothing to teach you:neener: (and yes, the new guy buys the sushi)

Other than me and ElT you'll find a lot of very knowledgable folks and many more that think they are:evil:

What branch of the chemistry racket are you in and what you working on?

Welcome to THR jed! Sounds like you're a little bored. Been to the range lately? A couple hundred rounds through a 1911 improves every day. Applied chemistry at its finest!

Howdy Jed. Thanks for the good words and welcome aboard!
I think you'll find that THR is a cut above the rest.

    I see you're a chemist...How are ya with physics?:D

Here's hopin' that your stay is a long and pleasant one. If there's anything that I can do to help with that, just sing out!
