Sig Sauer Inc., Newington, New Hampshire, was awarded a $580,217,000 firm-fixed-price contract for the Modular Handgun System including handgun, accessories and ammunition to replace the current M9 handgun. Bids were solicited via the Internet with nine received. Work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with an estimated completion date of Jan. 19, 2027.

Which SIG won??? I hope it's the poly 9. The steely 9s are too heavy for today's 0per@+0rZ.

P320 series. The contract is also for ammo, parts, training and accessories, which means SIG won the handgun but is part of a larger conglomerate supplying the entire logistical package. It actually makes whatever gun it is less important than who answers for every thing shipped to field it.
