There is a new Millon Mom March that is scheduled for Mother's Day. The same people that set up the first one is behind this one.

Apparently, sponsors to underwrite this garbage have been slow to sign on. The only one that they could find was Essence magazine. The link is http://www.bradycampaign.org/press/release.php?release=543

I wonder how many fair weather friends will show up, this time? Probably as many as I saw outside of the last NRA convention in Orlando(15-20), maybe.

No dounbt the "press" will report a turnout of at least 4,000,000,000. That would be the same fools drooling over Kerry. ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN.

[blockquote]The main element in the Halt the Assault weekend plans announced today is a public gathering at the West Front of the Capitol starting in the late morning of Mother's Day, May 9. Following an interfaith service at the start of the program, a number of speakers and entertainers will fill the afternoon.[/blockquote]
"Halt the Assault"?

What's with liberals putting on a religious service, even if it's interfaith? Have they lost their mind?

the MMM reserved every site on the mall for the 2004 Mothersday weekend

Last year they had 200 people for the March
they had 300 at the tribute dinner this fall

the first rally was a Clinton orchestrated elect Al Gore event

with the democratic candidate still in flux and Clark out

its not going to be funded like the first one

The last three years have been pretty demoralizing for the antis. Assuming the march will be a flop as predicted (hopefully not wishful thinking), what are some grassroots psy-ops ideas for rubbing the antis' noses in the failure and further demoralizing their troops?

"Grassroots psy-ops." Did I just coin a phrase?

Ideas off the top of my head
A few people going to the event and loudly pointing out the poor turnout. Make a show of laughing at their failure.

A blizzard of letters to the editor pointing out the poor turnout.

A blizzard of phone calls/letters to the various anti organizations pointing out the failure.

A blizzard of letters to your representatives pointing out the failure.

Hey, don't scoff yet

It is another election year and with George Soros and McKelvey (sp?) Big $$$ backing them, they could muster a few hundred sad sacks and paid agitators to look like a crowd in a TV news "tight shot".

If they convince Kerrry to show up as if it were another campaign event they'll get coverage and you gotta know they are working that angle right now as hard as they can.

You know there will be no coverage of any counter protests and their pre-reserving other capitol venues precludes any true free speech gathering to counter to their pathetic mini-demonstrations.

I think it will a desparate last gasp at legitimacy aimed more at generating donations than creating a grass roots ground swell.

How about putting a styrofoam ice cooler on the hood of one of their cars, with "HUMAN HEAD" printed in large letters on the side.

Might change the focus of attention...

At best, that would make us look bad. At worst, it would be construed and played up as a threat of violence :(

There is already a counter-rally planned. The Second Amendment Sisters (SAS) did one in 2000, and is doing it this year too. SAFER.

I'm sure that anyone who can get there would be perfectly welcome to add to the numbers. With the usual caveats about not showing up in camo with belted ammo slung across the shoulders. I don't mind dressing that way when appropriate, but the point is to look non-threatening for the cameras! It will be surprising enough if any of the main-stream media gives the rally coverage, and that type of press isn't what they are going for.

SAS is open to guys too, with associate (or supporting?) memberships.

Hey, if John Kerry wants to commit political suicide, hey, he should go right ahead.

I certainly don't want to be stopping him!:D
