Where are the newly manufactured high cap mags for the mini-14. I mean ones that actually work well. Ruger sure won't be selling them, but who else is? I only know of PMI LEO mags going for 20$ pre-order. Anyone try any of those yet? I would like to get my moderately accurate and highly reliable (with factory 5 rounders) rifle some reliable 20 rnders like it was meant to have.

Natchez Shooter Supply is listing Promag 20 and 30 round magazines, in steel and plastic. They are not in yet, leave your email to be notified.

J&G Sports, Prescott, AZ is advertising factroy Ruger 20 and 30 round mags for $99.95 (!?!) They also have Mitchell Parked steel 30 and 40 round mags for $29.95

Promags aren't PMI----I'd be carefull about your planned purchase.

What he said.

PMI = Precision Metal Industries. They actually went out of business after the AWB went into effect. I was hoping somebody had picked up the tooling and was planning to go back into production now that the ban is gone.

Oh well.

sorry about the confusion I thought they were PMI. And also goofed on the price....its's 32 bucks a pop, not my best post. These are the ones at fourfourmag and are listed as new Ruger factory 20rnd mags, how is that?
Does anyone know about quality on the Mitchell parkerized steel mags, they sure are purty, but I hate to throw away money.

Mitchell mags have a bad rep.

Promag 20 and 30rd are an unknown at this time.

If you cruise the "For Sale" forums on AR15.com, and the different auction boards, you can find some deals on PMI.
I've found quality PMI 30s for $16 each.
In my opinion, PMI mags are as good as factory.

Masen (Black Warrior) 30rd mags are good mags.
-And $20 is a good price.
They are slightly longer than factory or PMI, but the one I had
fit and functioned just fine.

I have heard that Ruger will indeed begin offering large capacity factory magazines for the Mini 14 rifle and all of the handguns they produce that will accept them but they are holding off on production pending the outcome of the Presidential election.
