i just saw this story on my local philadelphia news. i'm trying to find the transcript on-line, but no luck so far.

zulima farber has just been appointed by new (D)Gov. Jon Corzine to be NJ state attorney general. she intends to pursue even more aggressive gun control, and guess why. some years ago she was robbed at knife point. as the man was running away, she said to herself, "boy i wish i had a gun....i would shoot him in the back."

i can't think of anything else to say.

On one hand I'm so glad I recently fled New Jersey. On the other hand, I'm very upset that New Jersey is still considered part of the United States. It's just troubling that she's not the only one who thinks like that (unless that's not considered "thinking"). Might be time for a Calgon bath.

Frankly, I don't see a reason not to regard armed robbers as fair game. If they ever had to fear us as so many of us fear them, they'd suddenly develop a keen interest in flipping hamburgers.

Wouldn't that be a reason for less gun laws?

i forgot to mention. this woman also has had 13 speeding tickets in the past 20 some years and has had her driver's license suspended 3 times. she apologized to the people of new jersey. a district attorney nominee who doesn't value obeying basic traffic laws. my friend concluded that she has impulse control problems.

    Hi carlrodd-

I think you're being especially courteous to this liberal thug Zulima Farber with regard to her driving record. She has plenty of tickets, suspended licenses, and even several failures to appear in court! Governor Jon Corzine wants to nominate this loser to be the Attorney General!

Complete details can be read in the online version of The Star-Ledger newspaper by clicking the link.

She will be a nightmare to decent and freedom-loving residents of New Jersey and even to the bordering states. You can take the woman out of despotic Cuba...but you can't always take the despotic Cuba out of the woman. New Jersey sure is saddled with lots of corruption...

Just wait Folks its gonna get better Corzine the biggest Crook ever elected to office, he's been in the senate, now the governors office, He will be running for president in 08 The Dems will run him instead of Hitlery. He's a business man, and he has no long record in government. He's going to be the Democrats breath of fresh air for 2008.

He looted the retirement accounts and investments of millions of Americans while he was running Goldman Sachs. Do a search on Goldman settlement, or pump and dump investment. He should be in jail, except for the fact that he was able to squash the Senate investigation of wrongdoing in the securities industry a few years ago. If you have any mutual fund investments this man has stolen money from you. He makes Ken Lay look like a Choir boy.

Bah, for the Democrats, that's an excellent resume. Stealing for the public trough and not get caught! Outstanding, think of all the votes he could buy.:)

Ah, yes, good old liberal projection. I would commit manslaughter, therefore everyone else would too.

It's not like she drove off a bridge and drowned the passenger or anything.

Sounds like her mentor is former NYC mayor David Dinkins, who, when responding to the case of a tourist's fatal stabbing in NYC, called for further restrictions on guns.

Maybe they're putting something in the water in that part of the country . . .

    The full context...................

"Farber also was questioned repeatedly about her views on handguns and mandatory minimum sentences. She testified that her views on gun control came into focus during her first week on the job as assistant counsel to Byrne. Farber had just returned to her apartment in North Brunswick when a teenage boy mugged her in the apartment's parking lot. She said the boy put a knife to her throat before taking her wallet and running away.

"My first thought was, 'I wish I had a gun, I would shoot him in the back,'" Farber said. "That scared me to death. I don't believe people should run around with guns. The police should have guns." ":cuss: :cuss: :cuss: ...
Translation: I cannot be trusted with a firearm, therefore neither can any of you

    F***** blanking hypocrite......................scary....very scary!

new NJ attorney general advocates more gun control....

Being an inmate of the People's Republic, I've made it my business to learn a bit about the new AG. This one is not one bit brighter than Clinton's affirmative action pick for Surgeon General, Jocelyn Elders, and was chosen for exactly the same reasons. She will be equally inept and thus not a significant threat, more of a joke really.
