New NRA App for iPhone

The NRA now has an app for the iPhone.

Highlights include NRA News programming — users can view show archives from the past five days or search videos by issue. There are feeds for ILA alerts and the NRA Blog. NRA Near Me plots events, clubs, classes, schools and tournaments close to you. A Community section offers links to each division’s Facebook or Twitter page, plus a state-by-state rep finder. And Take Action is where users can join, register to vote, donate or contact the NRA.

But it's STREAMING programming...

I used to download their podcasts to my iPhone, and everything worked just fine. I could listen to the programs while driving, or when it suited me. With the new app, you can only get streaming audio, and if you're not hooked up to a wifi, or if you're in a bad cell, then you get nothing.

They need to add a feature so you can download the programs and listen to them when you want to, not when you're within range of a free wifi.

Yoda, have you left that comment on the itunes page, or contacted them about it? I'm sure they would like to improve it, and it will probably be more effective than saying it here.

Can you listen to the Cam & Company NRA news show? They need to develop a droid version. I got excited for a few seconds when I saw "NRA Show" in the droid market until I discovered it was the National Restaurant Association". :banghead:
