New Release - Canik METE MC9

Canik has announced a new 9MM, the Mete MC9. Their new micro 9. If its everything my METE SFX is only smaller I'll take one. I have owned 3 Caniks and they all have been flawless and outstanding shooters. Good chance the MC9 will be as well. Probable street price will be under $400. My monies on this being another winner from Canik.

They look very nice guns. They tend to be a little wide for iwb for me but the mc9 looks to be slightly narrower.. I have two caniks and I'm waiting tor the all steel rival to be available

That grip seems so short for a 12rd flush. Seems like a 2 finger grip unless you goto a 15rd extended

I have the Canik Elite SC which is also 12 rounds with the standard capacity magazine. I find that even with the flat, flush fitting base plate I can still get my pinky partially onto the grip. With the extended base plate, all of my fingers fit on the grip just fine. I use the extended base plate and have no problems concealing the pistol.

Actually the Walther PPS is a bit thinner at 1.0 vs 1.12 but probably not enough to matter for most folks. I still rely on my M1 Walther PPS and Gen 2 Glock 19 for CCW and in no hurry to change. Waiting to see what Walther and HK might come out with to see if i am tempted. The Canik looks like a good option for very crowded field of good options.

I did not realize that the METE MC9 is smaller than the Canik Elite SC. According to Handgunpro, the METE grip is just slightly shorter than the Elite SC grip

I believe that I read that is can use the fullsize 18 rd magazines that the fullsize pistols use. If so that is GREAT ! I hate new pistols with different magazines than their bigger brother pistols.

That's why I'm curious to handle one. Have a couple of Caniks and if all the mags interchange..that's pretty sweet.

When the new wears off .. I diffidently going to give this pistol a close look … .. Right now .. in cold weather I usually carry larger pistols , Glock 19 & 23 , XDME compact 10mm
Also .. working on getting my Dagger together
so far my GX4 and G3X ( great pistol ) has covered my smaller pistol needs
