Cant go wrong at that price.

The Airweights are the ideal carry guns, compact and lightweight yet still accurate at range.

Good choice, and great price! I recently bought a very gently used one for about that price, and after shooting it, would have gladly paid even more. This is becoming one of my new favorite pistols.

Good pistol and Good buy! Did you get it at the show?

Good revolver at a good price. Over the weekend I saw new 642s on a couple of tables for around that price.

Yes, the 442 is brand new. Only fired once from the factory. I have been dry firing it alot as I am not used to such a heavy trigger pull. Is the 442 ok to dry fire or is that a no-no?

Anyone carry one of these in a pocket holster?

Mine looked that good--back in 1996. After about 5475 days of daily pocket carry it has a 'bit' of finish wear now. Great little 'always' gun and never a moment's trouble with it.

Enjoy yours.

It's got a frame-mounted firing pin. Dry fire the snot out of it! It will make your finger stronger and smooth out any roughness in the trigger.

Great buy. Challenging little gun for your first... well, maybe you already own another snubbie, but the 442/642 can be... interesting to shoot with the stock grips depending on your hand size and tolerance to (ahem) felt recoil. Definitely not a range gun for moi, maybe a cylinder or three at a time. YMMV

But great to carry.

Please do give a range report after your inaugural outing and tell us what your thoughts and shooting results are. You'll see why some board members scoff when gunshop sales staff steer petite shoppers who "never shot a gun in my life but I want one now" that direction.

For S&W #2, look for a K frame maybe?

Had about 15 rounds of miscellanious 38 spl ammo laying around so fired that last weekend through my 442. Most all of my shots were going low and left from about 10 or so yards.....

Thats about it as far as a range report goes at this time....

thats not a problem. next time out try and shoot 200-300 if finances allow. get a good feel for the gun. find your grip. i usually practice between 2 and 10 yards out for drawing, double taps and rapid fire. up to 15 yards (my club range is 15 yards) for fun to see what i can hit. its a great gun. i love mine and shoot it when i can.
