Hi, all. A couple of weeks ago I picked up a lightly-used P239 in .40 for $429. It appears to have been fired very little. I am planning on using this handgun to both back-up my Kimber and to serve on its own when carried in a Kramer Confidant holster shirt or a fanny pack. I'm heading to the range to wring this pistol out in the next few days.

It appears that the .40 model can be converted over to .357 SIG with a change of barrel and magazine. Anyone out there shoot both calibers from their P239?

Thanks! :)

i did...now i only shoot .357SIG. i have nothing bad to say about the .40, but i just like the .357 that much more.

also, .357SIG rounds fit in both the .357 and .40 mags, but not vice-versa.

.357SIG loads

Lunde and GT, are .357SIG loads easy or hard to find on the shelves of your local gunshops? How do they compare price-wise to .40, etc.? Or do you "roll your own?"

Thanks again!

I love my 239 in .40, but I'm not sure I want to spend the money on a .357 barrel. Somehow the .40 seems more appropriate for the size of the pistol.

A great little gun especially in 40 S&W. I think you'll like it alot. good luck with it.
