So im interested in an ar-15, but to be honest I don't really have any experience in the mechanics.

Is there anything incredibly different or important to know about these guns that is different from a bolt action (obviously they are different...)

or any links anyone can give me for reading material?

I looked at the ar15.com website and to be honest its too much to look at , and i couldn't find any posts for new people, they all seem to be pretty advanced users there.
