New to GA where to buy components?

I have all the places mapped out and plan to hit them as my travels take me in those directions.
If you head west to GA Arms, while you're out that way you may also want to go one more exit west to Hwy 113. Bout a mile South of the interstate is Advanced Bullets. Well stocked for reloading and they also have an outdoor rifle/pistol range, and sporting clays course.

You Georgia boys are making me homesick - grew up in Rome, lived in Buckhead 12 years and 13 more in Kennesaw (the town that adopted an ordinance requiring homeowners to possess a firearm). We used to say that if the Kennesaw Police stopped you, you would be asked if you have a gun - if the answer is "no," they give you one. :D

hueyville, I agree with shopping local and supporting the small stores. Unfortunately, around here it's hard to find a dependable supply of components and the prices tend to run high. So I get most of my components from Powder Valley and Midway and pick up some items when I see something I can use.

Thanks for all the tips guys. I have all the places mapped out and plan to hit them as my travels take me in those directions. I am not hurting for ammo right now but since there are so many IDPA clubs down here as opposed to Iowa it looks like I can find one that meets during the week. If I do that I am going to eventually need restocking.

Yes we are blessed here in North Georgia with lots of IDPA matches each week. Check out www.gadpa.com. This is the local IDPA club here in N Georgia. We have indoor matches every week Mon-Fri some where in Metro Atlanta. Norcross Gun Club in Gwinnett Co has a match every Wednesday. Mark Gallo is the SO for this match. We also have Outdoor matches just about every weekend either on Saturday, or Sunday. I normally shoot outdoor on the 1st Sunday of the month at Cherokee Gun Club in Gainesville, Ga (Hall Co), and the 4th Sunday at South River Gun Club in Conyers. I will be shooting the IDPA match in Pickens Co this Sunday since I will be in Daytona next Sunday for the Daytona 500.

Kennesaw (the town that adopted an ordinance requiring homeowners to possess a firearm).

I don’t know if it’s actually on the books, but I think you’re required to have a Confederate Flag flying off the porch in Kennesaw. :)
